I've noted that virtually all of the squadmates from ME2 will feature "to some degree" in ME3. However I've not seen anything about Samara. Does this mean she won't appear in the next game? If so I think it would be a tragic loss because she's one of the deepest characters in the game. Her spiritual dimension (and the horrible choices she's had to make as a Justicar) makes her so much more interesting than some of the other characters.

What do other people think about the value she would add to ME3 and whether she might appear?

I'd say see the Samara thread for discussion on that. Haven't checked it out myself so I don't know what they have but you should find something there for better or worse.

She'll be there, especially since one of the devs noted that whether or not you tried to romance her was flagged for import. She's one of my favorites, too, and I hope that she tags along for at least one mission.

EDIT: Well, hello typo.

I wonder if Morinth will be in ME3 if you saved her instead.

Yay! Those are great news. Even my gay Sheps feel a connection with Samara.

No! No! No! She's complicated yet simple. Beautiful; yet humble. Not to mention the lore behind her. The VO was awesome as well. Maybe not the best in BioWare's history, but in Mass Effect.

That's the very first thread I saw Morinth fans rule over Samara's, I'm so happy!

But back on topic: I won't see Samara becaus she's dead in Morinth's old place. But when Morinth appears I hope she's back to being herself and drop the Justicar act, I just love her!

Why do people always jump to conclusions on here?

Just for the record... I like both Samara AND Morinth. I wish Morinth had more dialogues when you talk to her.

She is not complicated at all, just follows a messed up code that she thinks will make the society a better place, because she thinks that she failed the society by giving birth to Ardat-Yakshi. Some may like that of course. =)

I personally hate her code, and she IS her code, so I hate her.

That's exactly why I don't like her, she's just either right or wrong, she sees no in-betweens. Morinth is so deeper than her, shame she's not as well explorated as she could be. And Samara is very pretty, but Morinth looks exactly the same and has a prettier voice, so it's just win win for her.

I reckon she will pop up on the asari homeworld, like mordin does on Sur'kesh. If samara has been killed then morinth will logically take her place

Well so many people from ME2 have already been confirmed one way or another, so it's reasonable to think that the reason there's no news about her is because she's not in it.

That's over-simplifying things. She became a Justicar because of Morinth, not to atone for what she failed to do. She's been hunting her daughter across the known universe for centuries. In that time she could have given up to help others, but she didn't. She's focused on Morinth.

You also have to realise that although technically her code absolves her of killing "bad" people, she still has to kill her child. That is a cardinal sin in almost any culture. Then there's the village she wiped out. Sure she may not have had much of a choice, but then again she might have been able to withdraw rather than kill all those people. And was leaving so many children without parents "protecting the innocent"?

Being justified in doing something doesn't wipe away the guilt and pain. And having to chase your offspring around for so long can only magnify the pain of knowing what you're going to have to do eventually. For me Samara became a Justicar to atone for knowing she would have to kill her own daughter.

To me it's no surprise that when Shepard approaches her for a romance option, she simply can't do it. As nice as a Paladin Sheperd might be, her heart has been broken too long for anyone to mend it.

She'll likely be a cameo, nothing more.

I don't respect Samara. Instead of being a good mother and helping Morinth to overcome her desires, setting an example, she turned her to seclusion. That was the first the the worst choice she could do. Then came the second one - to hunt her own daughter to death, because she didn't want to live in seclusion. Everything else followed after that. She was not justified to do anything out of what she did, because it was all her fault in the first place. That's why I helped Morinth to put her down.

EVERYONE'S BEEN CONFIRMED ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. Your "no news about her" statement is false. (Added Caps for emphasis, I'm not shouting.)
