I'd probably abandon the quarians, and batarians. The quarians and apparently batarians are weak races that'll contirbute little to nothing to the war effort.

Quarians have the largest fleet in the galaxy and the batarian could unite all the Terminus Systems under Shepard's banner if convinced.

I doubt the Batarians will be convinced after the events of Arrival.

As much as I hate to say it... Batarians.

They get too much of a bad rap as it is, but seriously, they'd be the easiest to write off and the best as far as potential positives. They hate humanity-- even more so after Arrival. And considering the fact that humans were able to fairly easily out-muscle them even though batarians had found Citadel space well before humans had found eezo, it's not incredibly likely that, if they survive, they could come back and bite us in the ass. We'd still just kick their asses.

They were the first ones to be attacked and lost more to the Reapers than any other race. I think by now they are only concern with the survival of their race period than an old hatred.

The largest fleet of obsolete ships in the galaxy sure, and I don't know how the batarians could untie the Terminus systems. Perhaps you mean Aria.

The batarians are the leading race in the Terminus even their language is spoken by the other races of the Terminus and considering they were a former Citadel race means they have some sort of power or influence. Giving up being a Citadel race probably means that the other Terminus races greatly respect them for doing that and will listen to batarians. Aria can only control Omega not really that powerful. Read my other comment for the quarians.

If it became a matter of the them vs. the galaxy, who would worry about the Hanar?

Vorcha or the Quarians. I don't really like either of those two that much.

Batarians and if the hanar turn up as reaper worshiping fanboys who can't see them for what they are beyond that I'll try to save whom I can.

humans are the only ones deserving of life.

the other species should serve us.

humanity has made the greatest leaps and bounds of any species in the mass effect world-

shortest time to be admitted an embassy on the citadel, shortest time to get representation on the counsel and short time to have a spectre,

AND first to save the galaxy from initial reaper invasions.

humanity is a wake-up call for the galaxy that they cant sit on thier ass and pick thier nose and call it "diplomacy" and "running the galaxy".

the other species are clearly the incompetant ceo given the position because of a "connection" who does nothing and doesn't know how to run the company and knows nothing about business.

The Reapers have reached Earth by coming in through Batarian space, so saving them is most likely a moot point. If  i'm forced by the game to abandon a species, it will probably be the Krogan, simply for the fact that it will have the smallest impact on the post war galactic situation.

If given the choice I'd abandon Batarians or the Humans. Humans should be following the other species.

the batarians i'd write off in a heartbeat. maintaining a slave culture in a tech advanced society is reduntardenated.

the turians, asari, and salarians i would also abandon. just look at their respective reps on the citadel council. they had to have gone to night school, you don't get that dumb by workin at it for only 8 hours a day.

in my own imagined perfect ending, i would save the krogan, the rachni, the geth, and the quarians, and form a new council after the dust settled.

cockroaches. Reapers are the ultimate solution to that problem.

In all seriousness, I'd be rid of Vorcha or Yahg if I really had to sacrifice a species. Both just don't play well enough with others.

01. Batarians- yet to see a good batarian...most of them are pretty warlike and evil. Plus they are space terrorists who hate humanity.

02. Yahg- not very redeemable

03. Vorcha- like animals, not redeemable in the slightest

04. Rachni- we saw what happened when they took over the galaxy once before

05. Krogan- just as dangerous especially under Wreav (and Wrex can't save all of them)

The title says it really. Are there any races of the galaxy that you would leave to their fate at the hands of the reapers? Which ones would you save?

I'd be tempted to just not bother about the batarians. Pirates, slavers, fanatical-esque hatred of humanity and not much to contribute to shepard or the galaxy.
I might let the yahg die because I see nothing but trouble from them, god help us if they get offworld in any significant number.
I'd save the asari, turians and salarians because they are the major players and I don't have a reason not to save the others.

If it rrrrreeeeeally came down to it? All of them.

If I had to sacrifice all except for one of the alien races? I'd save the Quarians.

If I had to sacrifice one of the alien races to save all the others? Batarians.
