The second sentence should be translated and interpreted to mean something I could get banned for.

Actaully they do.
A degree is physical proof that an individual knows and understands the subject matter.
It's proof that he was tested by his peers.
Anyone can just "write"...and 99.9% of it will be worthless garbage.
I disagree. It only shows you know the technicalities of some forms of writing. Since there's no single way to write a story, that doesn't count for much. And it also doesn't mean you can actually write. That requires a natural ability.
Though I do agree that most of what is written nowadays is just plain rubbish.

Heh.
That would be an appropriate description.
Even though it's all jumbled and incredibly confusing, it's possible to just about figure out every single story arc in the game from what was leaked, minus the romance options or conversations with squadmates.
Sidequests, main plot quests, locations, character deaths... even the damn endings.

Yeah, I took a peek because I just couldn't help myself. I even took a peek at the endings. I wasn't really surprised by any of them, I had a feeling that kind of a thing was going to be necessary to defeat a galaxy full of invincible sentient starships. The only thing that made me mad that I did read was the whole VS thing...I want to be able to save all my people: I got them all through the SM in ME2, I should be able to pull them all through in ME3. I don't expect it to be easy, I just expect it to be possible...I refuse to admit my Shep's leadership isn't up to the task. Lol.
But yeah. "Leak" doesn't do this justice. This is a full-on breach.
Am I the only one that thinks this is a bit of karma coming back to bite BioWare in the butt? They had been so adamantly keeping this story locked down tight due to the ME2 spoilerific marketing campaign that the proverbial seal burst. Fans had been complaining that we didn't know much about the story yet...I guess it's true what they say, be careful what you wish for...

So... Miranda's been reduced to a glorified cameo. I love BioWare

If this is true then I will never buy another Bioware game ever again. Right from day 1 my number 1 concern about ME3 has been the squad mate issue. Bioware have been very reluctant that to discuss how ME3 will juggle all of ME1 and ME2's squad mates, In particular there has been little or no mention of any of teh ME2 exclusive squad mates other than that they will be back in some shape and form. I don't want cameos, I want them all to be full time/permanent squad mates, this is especially true for Miranda Lawson. I don't want a fixed squad in ME3, I don't wnat a rotating squad in ME3, I want the freedom to pick and choose who ever I want whenever I want for specific missiions.

This is literally impossible for a game of Mass Effect 3's development time and budget.
The resources and time required to make sure every single character had mission-specific dialogue would be beyond what is possible if you wanted a game out on time. Not to mention the logistics.
How is it an effective use of money to spend significant time on all 12 ME2 squadmates, when they all could've died in various combinations in the end of the second game?
What about a person who imports with two surviving squadmembers? What happens to them?
Cameos and having alternate squadmates possible for some missions isn't just cheaper, it's the only thing that gets them all in the game.
Rage all you want that your favourite character doesn't feature much, but at least try to understand the development factors that mean it was never going to be anything different.

Natural abiltiy that is refined trough understanding and experience. Literary theory exists for a reason.
There is no single way to write a story, but there are are specific ways to write a GOOD story and specific ways to write a BAD story. And proper knowledge, thought and experience helps avoid those pitfalls.
There is some redicolous theory that if you just write a few short fan-fics, you're a good writer and understand what good writing is. Nothing could be further from the truth.
And lastly, a degree is proof of understanding.
What proof of understanding and competence can the opposition provide?

I haven't read spoilers yet but I just have one question: Is it possible to have a romance with characters you could've romanced in Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 but didn't for some reason?
