And I hope the Babylon 5 rip-off didn´t make the cut.

Almost 3 months before the release. And in Gears case, it wasn't an old wall of text notes being leaked. The entire game leaked, cutscenes, everything.aridor1570 wrote...
Just a bit curious, when did GoW3 get leaked?

How do you know that your actions don't change where they end up? Oh right, you don't but a 6 month old draft of one apparent path through the game is clearly enough to condemn an entire product for.TeenZombie wrote...

Some of this stuff is just sadistic. Bioware has a funny way of rewarding players for getting emotionally invested in their stories.
Ever read a book where it's obvious that the writer hates a certain character, and any subtlety or development is thrown out in favor of making them into a cartoon villain they can use as a punching bag?
I'm so glad to find out early that I chose the wrong characters to like, and this series isn't for me anymore.
People said the EXACT same thing about the Gears of War 3 leak.
Its old, things will change, early draft, bla bla bla.
Guess what? It didn't change at all.
Just a bit curious, when did GoW3 get leaked?
Its entire campaign was leaked somehow via the Bulletstorm disc, which came out ~8months before Gears. The actual campaign itself became fully playable in, I believe, early August due to a leaked developer's disc. People knew the entire story explicitly nearly two months before release, and knew probable spoilers over half a year before release.
Microsoft/Epic assured people that that wasn't the final story and it "didn't represent the final product", but they were in fact the same thing. Nothing changed. Everything I had spoiled for me (against my will) came true.

Also, My "Wow" isn't directed at the leak, I'm just amazed they didn't make any change between the leak and the release.

Because they would have had to re-record most of the audio.
Just like Bioware would have to if they wanted to change it now...
Casey Hudson said a couple of weeks ago they were still working on the line of dialogue that are going into the game, so I think they're well aware that they still have quite a bit of recording to do.Travie wrote...

Wow.

Wow.
If you're implying that it's ridiculous that the campaign was finished so early, remember that Gears 3 was originally meant to come out in April 2010. They pushed it back in order to release a public beta and refine the multiplayer modes. The actual campaign had been finished well before then. From about February to September, the entirety of the development team was working on multiplayer components.
The Bulletstorm "leak" consisted of Act Names and where they took place, Multiplayer Map Names and Weapon Names. I think it's unfair to act baffled by the idea that they didn't change those.aridor1570 wrote...

Didn't care about Bulletstorm, it was too much of them trying to make the game feel "Bad ass".

Yeah, it was pretty insignificant, hardly "spoiled" the game for anyone.aridor1570 wrote...
