The hearing from the leak was different in the demo, but I liked the leak version better. I didn´t get why they had Shepard grounded in the demo instead of working to stop the Reapers is that was what they expected of him.

And I hope the Babylon 5 rip-off didn´t make the cut.

Just a bit curious, when did GoW3 get leaked?

Almost 3 months before the release. And in Gears case, it wasn't an old wall of text notes being leaked. The entire game leaked, cutscenes, everything.

Some of this stuff is just sadistic. Bioware has a funny way of rewarding players for getting emotionally invested in their stories.

Ever read a book where it's obvious that the writer hates a certain character, and any subtlety or development is thrown out in favor of making them into a cartoon villain they can use as a punching bag?

I'm so glad to find out early that I chose the wrong characters to like, and this series isn't for me anymore.

How do you know that your actions don't change where they end up? Oh right, you don't but a 6 month old draft of one apparent path through the game is clearly enough to condemn an entire product for.

People said the EXACT same thing about the Gears of War 3 leak.

Its old, things will change, early draft, bla bla bla.

Guess what? It didn't change at all.

Its entire campaign was leaked somehow via the Bulletstorm disc, which came out ~8months before Gears. The actual campaign itself became fully playable in, I believe, early August due to a leaked developer's disc. People knew the entire story explicitly nearly two months before release, and knew probable spoilers over half a year before release.

Microsoft/Epic assured people that that wasn't the final story and it "didn't represent the final product", but they were in fact the same thing. Nothing changed. Everything I had spoiled for me (against my will) came true.

The entire campaign, finalised 8 months before release and playable 2 months before release?

Wow.

Also, My "Wow" isn't directed at the leak, I'm just amazed they didn't make any change between the leak and the release.

Because they would have had to re-record most of the audio.

Just like Bioware would have to if they wanted to change it now...

Man, I read some of the story spoilers (didn't care much for the abilities/weapons lists), but I'm going to refrain from reading the entire storyline. I remember reading the entire episode résumé of Star Trek Voyager's series finale back in 2002 or whatever a few days before it aired, and I remember having severely regretted it when I watched it on TV and saw that it was EXACTLY what I had read... especially since it was one of my favorites show at the time. I don't want that to be the case with ME3, even though peoples' disappointment with the story really make me want to know what is so wrong with it.

The story of ME2 was what really disappointed me (since it was pretty nonexistant) so I will be very disappointed if the story is just as crappy. Yet I cannot bring myself to read it and see... I hope I won't regret having bought the game once I will have played it and seen the story.

Let me not be disappointed please!!!!

They didn't even start doing 70% of the voice work, you can see that just by looking at the leaked beta.

Casey Hudson said a couple of weeks ago they were still working on the line of dialogue that are going into the game, so I think they're well aware that they still have quite a bit of recording to do.

Ah, completely agree.
Think I'll cancel pre-orders. I'm going to wait and see.

If you're implying that it's ridiculous that the campaign was finished so early, remember that Gears 3 was originally meant to come out in April 2011. They pushed it back in order to release a public beta and refine the multiplayer modes. The actual campaign had been finished well before then. From about February to September, the entirety of the development team was working on multiplayer components.

I'm curious if it lists all the powers but I don't want story spoilers so I'm not clicking links.

So the SP portion was already done by then? compare that to what we have here.

People who cancel their orders over these leaks arent real fans anyway so i really wont miss them.

I had a quick glance through the leaks but stopped before i got to anything big, so i dont see much of a problem so far.

Still getting the game, still going to enjoy it and the story.

Wow.

The Bulletstorm "leak" consisted of Act Names and where they took place, Multiplayer Map Names and Weapon Names. I think it's unfair to act baffled by the idea that they didn't change those.

There weren't any plot descriptions, or even a general plot overlay, the biggest spoiler in there was the fact that Azura was a city and you find that out within maybe an hour of hearing it for the first time.

Didn't care about Bulletstorm, it was too much of them trying to make the game feel "Bad ass".

I meant the Gears 3 leak that happened due to the beta included with Bulletstorm.

Yeah, it was pretty insignificant, hardly "spoiled" the game for anyone.

Totally agree with you. We can have an incredible experience with ME3 and the haters can go feel negative about everything in life. Fine by me.

I won't lie; a few things really make some major decisions from 1 and 2 pretty much irrelevant. If this is indeed final, even mostly or partly so, Bioware will basically have lied about past decisions having major implications.

There was more than just Act names. I don't remember specifically as it's been awhile now, but I do remember it confirmed Adam Fenix being captured and a big part of the story and a few other plot points that had previously been unannounced, because I was told of them all before the major campaign leak ever happened.

Again, it's hard to remember at this point as it's been quite some time ago and I've already played through Gears 3 now. But well before the summer leak of the full campaign, I knew quite a few plot points that weren't meant to be disclosed.

Well from spoilers I seen on the ending if its true, one of the ending options is just stupid, and the "Good ending" It has 5 different ways it can play out, that I'm wondering about. I mean there is only one imo good ending and it has a number of ways to still end baddly.

But I do hope bioware will annouce what has changed or isn't current from the Demo, also don't hand any demos out anymore, make them play in house. Journalist seem to be more trouble than they are worth as of late. If its all %100 the same, then why was it delayed? To add in some ****ty VA ability from the Kenict? To not have to compeat with Skyrim? I mean really I hope there is some changes, but the ending I figured would play like that, just tell us how to get that "good" ending, Or least get rid of the stupid one.

So some of it's true? Here's hoping it's the not-horrible stuff.

Aye, from what I've read (yes I read it, wanted to see what all the spite was about), they have some downright Twilight-quality fanfiction written down for an excuse of a story. If there was ever a way to completely invadidate the idea of choices in what was heralded to be a story of choices, these spoilers definitely do that.

Though honestly, I would of much prefered that they just downright dismissed these story details as nothing but rumors, instead of saying "Hey, this is all true but you won't know how much of it is until you pay the $60 for the game and see for yourself".
