Ultimately, it was human error.  You know that thing we humans do because we are far from perfect.

We make mistakes.

This was a huge one no doubt and I feel very sorry for the parties involved.  I read some of the spoilers (initially by accident and others on purpose, what can I say I'm weak willed and had not the strength to walk away), but all I want is to play the game.  I wants it now...precioussss....

So I say mission accomplished Bioware,  because while  I was patiently awaiting the game before, I now IMPATIENTLY await March 6th...MAKER WHY IS IT SO FAR AWAY...T_T.  Good thing Skyrim is coming soon to distract me.  ^_^

*:kissing:* to you all!

What does that have to do with anything ?  You said it originated on NeoGAF and you were clearly wrong. It originated on Biowares own forums and was up there for a hell of a long time (nearly a day if I remember correctly).  All that happened is someone on NeoGaf found it and posted a link to it.  If it hadn't been Neogaf it would have been some other forum.  This is just pettiness by Bioware from what I can see.

It would've never made the jump accross an ocean if not for Neogaf. I don't really care about your opinion anyway because you just want to defend GAF but don't pretend like people of any other forum scour the internet every minute of the day for any nugget of information they can get like GAf does.

this whole thing smells why would the beta of a demo have all that info

It's something called a tlk file, it held internal design considerations in what was likely an encoded form inside the core files of ME3, the people who downloaded the demo transferred it over to their PC and datamined it for the tlk files. Mass Effect 2 had them, DA2 has them and most games have something in this vein so that when production passes out of the storytellers hands into those of the artists they don't have to constantly check in with the storytellers.

This particular file is likely older than the E3 demo since most news outlets are confirming that the demo is the same one they were shown behind closed doors at PAX and Gamescom, which means that they've been building up off the E3 demo till this point. This isn't likely to be the demo we'll get in January as I'm guessing that they'll take the files they need for that from the launch build rather then continue developing a demo build in parallel.

Thanks now it makes microsoft look like they might have done this on purpose to get back at BW for going to PS3

Your tin foil hat is showing.

I doubt Microsoft would be that extreme about it, it's not like Bioware moved exclusively to the PS3, the 360 will recieve more content than PS3 (Kinect) So I doubt Microsoft would do something like that.

How am I going to avoid spoilers for 4 months!?!?! Some idiot is going to spread it eventually, I'm so pissed at BioWare and Microsoft, I've waited for this game for two years and will ultimately find out how it ends on a comments section because some idiot will blurt it out.

Cheers!

Don't be pissed at BioWare, this is all Microsoft's fault.

Im annoyed because their response was essentially "don't read any gaming web sites" for four months.

I can already see this.

ME3 to use Kinect canceled.

ME3 will use Sony's... whatever they have for that.

Well what do you expect them to do? Wave a magic wand and make all the spoilers magically go away?

@Arcian - for the most part yes. But Microsoft didn't include the plot files in the beta, Bioware did.

What I'm curious about is the reason biowares mad.

Is it,

1 - the plot shows complete linearity and horrible deaths that doesn't represent the final script, so they're afraid everyone will get mad at them for no choice/consequences and the death of their favorite squadmate when it's not final, or the squad mates could live depending on choice.

Or

2 - the game will in fact be linear in order to make it more action packed and scripted movie sequences, and they're mad that the fans have found it out and will not buy the game.

Which is it? They need to come out with a statement, because all of this hiding isn't doing them any good.

And what else they can do?

They can't close threads here in time nor can influence any other website or forum that isn't theirs.

What BioWare can do at this moment is to keep their heads up and be proud that they are doing one hell of a job on this game and I presume everyone seen it so IT WAS AWESOME even if it was a build? whatever it is called it was epic, and multilayer? oh God it's better than CoD.

First I heard about the delayed release date

Then no new information was released for ages, except for an abundance of worrying multiplayer rumours

Then we hear about Origin and how it spy's on your computer, and how ME3 will most likely require it to play

Then the inclusion of an unwanted multiplayer feature is announced

Then reviews say that the multiplayer is not very good

Now a script is leaked and there is an outrage. People are comparing it to "fanfic-level writing". The words "deus ex-Machina endings" are also used.

Could this whole ME3 fiasco be any worse? :crying:

I want to just leave the forums to avoid the spoilers, but I can't stop looking for some faint hope that this whole thing isn't as bad as it seems.

Sure, it may be a draft script, but I would be very surprised if the final game isn't very similar. You don't go and completely change the story, especially considering that at the moment the game would be nearing release, if the multiplayer and subsequent delay had not come along.

I haven't read it of course, and I don't plan to, but when so many people are complaining about it it's clear something is wrong.

It's like somebody on these boards said when the Multiplayer rumours went around: "Where there's smoke, there’s fire"

Is there anyone else who's read the leaked script that wouldn't mind another delay if it meant tweaking the story to not be such a jumble of bad ideas?

Not everyone disliked it - Here on the good ol' BSN, negitive always out-weighs the postive either way.

LOL Just go to all big gaming forums like neogaf for example. This script and the quality of it and even Bioware is at the moment the joke of the internet.  Its really time to wake up.

Don't you dare to expect anything more than "this does not reflect the current state of the story" kind of statement...they won't step up and make any bold announcements, they'll rather just let it die slowly...

The GAF forum was closed, no more positivity will come out regarding ME3 because they're all butthurt over it.

You cant stop gaf. Now they make fun of Bioware actions.  The damage is done and I dont know what Bioware can safe except a huge delay of ME3.

I'm very sorry to hear about the leaks, and will try to stay out of the forums until march, because I'm very spoilerphobic. I hope you find out where the leaks are coming from and that people who've read them are curteous enough not to post about them in unrelated threads (not very likely I know). Just wanted to give you guys my deepest sympaties. :(

Go Bioware. I don't give a crap about leaks on stories. Now if they have more leaks on Bioware's Multiplayer,... sorry Casey, Chris, Christina and Woo man, but I'm reading those. HAHA! Especially if they are character and race creative stuff. Hahaha!. Because I really want to know if I can play as a quarian and its freaking killing me not knowing especially sense I have an epic story I want to create for my character in the multiplayer universe.

Chris just locked the other thread down so I'm reposting this. Holla!
