Can't believe people are still searching for spoilers. I'm glad I avoid them and seems there are few of us who will play this game without knowing the plot.
To be fair, if people were saying that the script was fantastic and brilliant then I'd agree with you completely. Waiting for something that you think is going to be really good is fun.
It's the fact that people are saying it is so awful that gives me the even the slightest dersire to read this script (Although I don't want to and will try to avoid the spoilers). Why would I want to wait 5 months and pay more than £100 for something that is apparently so badly written it is "fanfic-level" and has become an internet "joke"?
I can see why people would want to get the pain over with now, rather than keeping false hopes and being reassured by Bioware that the final story is different only to find that it's just as bad on release, (again, all speculatory. I haven't read the script but am going on people's word)
There is nothing awful about the script. I wouldn't rely on what you're reading on the Internet.
Exactly. The nature of the net (and the world in general as communication gets easier) is that the loudest, most heard voices are people who usually have a critical view point. Take this leak situation for example.
People who read the leaked info and are ok with it/think it's great, are not going to start topics and reply for 30 pages non stop about how awsome or ok they think it is. Why? Because people who are not critical of a piece of work don't have something to prove. Basically their opinion comes down to "Meh good stuff."
On the other hand people who aren't happy with EA or Bioware and want to prove how bad their games are so they can say "I told you so," will pick through every detail and make sure they twist them into how "awful" the game is. It's an on going narrative about how Bioware, currupted by EA's demonic influence, is out to get everyone. Just like some of the posts here blaming Bioware for this whole mess just so it fits into the EA/Bioware = Bad mentality, even though it's obvious Microsoft messed up.
The only time you usually hear pro-somethings write about their opinions is usually in response to negative/critical view points. Just look down the Forum and see how many critical threads of ME3 there are. Then when you start reading them you may notice 50-75% of the people posting vary and are against the original "negative" idea, while a consistent few keep posting in favour of the critical viewpoint. It's because "pros" just don't care as much.

A few details may change, but the a good 50% of the core story will remain the same. They can't change that much within 6 months, bearing in mind some of those 6 months will be for practicalstuff like getting the game published, you're looking at more like a 4-5 month window really.
As KingDan said, this leak might be a 5 month old draft.

You are right it is damage control. There is no possible way Bioware would have at any moment changed anything in a 6 month old build of a video game series that they usually like changing. You are correct it will stay literally exactly the same and all your unfounded assumptions are correct. I fully expect ME3 to flop due to this.
Assuming that was sarcasm (and I think it was) that's why I'm not too concerned about these spoilers. There was some good stuff and some bad stuff, but in the end there's no real way to know what ended up staying and what got changed or cut.
The gameplay leak is far more "locked in" and more worth going over with a fine-toothed comb.

Can someone please PM me the leaked ending of ME3. I need to have it spoiled right now. Or give me the link to that whole wall of text of spoilers. Thx.
There's 3 endings:
-Shepard destroys the reapers and saves the galaxy.
-Shepard joins the reapers and becomes one of them (hint: the galaxy is doomed.)
-Shepard makes sweet love to every single one of his teammates. Turns out they were all reapers.
The end.
Ok thanksCan someone give away the real ending now? PM me no need to spoil it to everyone just for me.

The script actually isn't that bad, but they could cut down on the "barely dodged a missile" scenes every 3 seconds.
Screw the formalities that the script is a piece of poo
You guys can say its outdated all you want, but actions speak louder than words,m and you are silencing neo for even talking about it. Good luck with the rest of the internet, becuase neogaf is one small part of it.

I mostly liked the script.
So I shrugged and moved on. The only thing I complained about was one scene I thought particularly ridiculous.

This is becoming so annoying, when something bad is heard about the game the community believes it and will whine about it to no end, but when an actual developer of that game comes around and outright says it's false the community ignore it and say it's a lie and continue whining.
Welcome to the human condition. And individual is normally intelligent and rational, get them in a group however and they all become drama queens. I have a suspicion that the guy who leaked thsi info is laughign his ass off righ tnow.

Exactly. This is not a 2 pages draft or some sort. This draft as over 24000 words in it. And and this point the mainplot stands and only small corrections are beeing made.DuskWarden wrote...

Or it coudl be a year old, or 2 years old or only 3 months old. The fact of the matter is, we have no idea how old it is, speculation is speculation and it serves no other purpose than to divert one's attention away from how long we have until the game dro............................ooooo something shiney, let me go see what it is...................

The more often I read what I've got of the story, the more I think it's not that bad. Actually, it's a lot of drama, some hard decisions and emotional stuff. Isn't it what we wanted? Stuff to cry about, decisions over life and death and emotions, emotions, emotions?
That leaked story is not even 25% of the game. It's just the main plot. There are 75% of the game to explore - assignments, dialogues, banter, love story arc ... there's so much more to explore. Yes, I got spoiled, but I wanted to read it. No it doesn't change my view on ME3. I still want it. I want to give Shepard that last fight and I want to see "my" perfect ending with my LI and everything.
So ... that's it.

Would be nice if they did that at least. So far nothings been said one way or another. It is what we hope is a 5 month draft and I hope alot of stuff has been changed, such as the instant deaths, thats a good way to ****** the community off. Nevermind the leaked ending.

Read the last page, there's a qoute from Chris confirming that alot of the things in that leak didn't make it into the game.
