I wonder what the draft for ME 1 read like. It was probably just as bad, if not worse than 3.

Shepard goes to planet; think beginning of b-movie, lots of obscure camera angles and 'homages'

Shepard and crew of ship (USS Berlin Wall? Something to that effect) go to political hub; shark-jumping politician and zany, unsure aliens; Shepard digs up intel on bad guy and becomes savior while gaining party members (let's do a krogan [the klingon guys, kind of like frogs]) and a turian [the bird people] and maybe a girl with chicken legs)

USS Berlin Wall (or whatever) goes to various worlds following bad guys on wild goose chase; reaches fourth world (Vector? Vir? Something that starts with a 'V'; 'V' is an ominous letter) and sacrifices someone (human, preferrably; there are a lot of those) and then discovers Big Revelation (bad guy is working for another bad guy, perhaps an organization, vast and all-powerful)

Shepard and Berlin Wall survivors go to new world, find out more about bad guys

Shepard fights bad guy at political hub; wins (please insert a cheesy grin)

Is it bad that I can weave the entire ME1 footage in with this in Benny Hll fashion?  It is a good point that most stories don't sound so good when broken down.

That is pretty much what the beta mine reads like, only more detailed and way out of order.

Yup ,that's more or less what the ME3 script is like. One part I found funny is a certain Star Wars ref(don't worry, not a spoiler - unless you haven't seen The Return of the Jedi):

"Reference: Han/Leia mission on Endor in Return of the Jedi (minus the Ewoks!)"

Edit: spelling

I missed all leaks because I was taking one. True story.

Content leaks are inevitable. You hit up any site that deals in or with talk about an upcoming video game, you're liable to get surprise spoiler'd in any and every way possible. Simple as that.

Spend your spare time playing games instead of grasping at straws online next time around.

Usually it's not quite this excessive though, to be fair. As in, excessive enough that the project lead for the game is clearly pretty angry about it. Something to this extent didn't happen with either of the first two games -- this was a pretty huge ordeal.

It can happen, which in this day and age means it inevitably will; for as far as exposing yourself to possible spoilers is concerned, the extent of the leak is irrelevant.

Win :wizard::wizard:, any plot can sound ridiculus if youre really trying to be dissapointed with it and all you read is a draft of the story, an outdated outline wich has been confirmed to not be the final product...

Hah, thanks for confirmation on how the leak reads like, everyone. I figured as much. Also, LOL at the Star Wars reference.

Okay, wait, were people seriously expecting mined data to read like a screenplay?

No. We're here to mentally masturbate our egos by making fun of the draft and causing drama by saying it's the real thing. Which it is, Bioware has gone down the ****ter ever since they joined EA.

Well, to be fair, technically Cthulhu claims it sounds nothing like the spoilers.

Buuuut... I refuse to read them myself to confirm or deny, so yeah!

I don't call it a script for that reason, its a datamine, nothing more, nothing less.

Someone said it best on another forum. BioWare really needs to learn when to lie. They dragged out the multiplayer fiasco from nearly two years before finally unveiling what the majority already knew. Now they openly concede this script was at the very least a building block for the story. Many of the spoilers are so utterly ridiculous, they would have been passed off as mindless fanfiction had BioWare claimed it was all a hoax. No they acknowledge it was a rough draft.

"Shepard goes to this place, this person shows up, and then this happens--TAKE NOTE, CINEMATIC GUYS" is exactly what one should expect.

The notes in the ME2 TLK files are like that.  Take these snippets for the final fight from the Lair one:

The Shadow broker is defeated and gets pissed off and attacks you in the FINAL BATTLE!

You now fight the Shadow Broker in the most awesome cinematic melee combat EVAR!

Watch Shepard do a cool move to damage the Shadow Broker.

Don't really understand why people are automatically assuming that every single death mentioned so far is scripted. Or why people are convinced that there are no alternate paths to any of these missions, apparently?

Also, I am really, really curious about how the Udina Assassination mission would take place with both Kasumi and Thane dead.

ALSO ALSO, I am really excited about that Prothean squad mate. I'm so glad it's real <3

Yep. And there's plenty more.  Here's a version of the SB's death they didn't use:

CINEMATIC: The player finally knocks the Shadow Broker off the ship and into the engine incinerating him. The End. Good Job!

You can find stuff like that in the main game and other DLC's TLK files.  Here's some Kasumi stuff:

(Bink?) MONTAGE:
- Hock is a bad person who kicks puppies for fun.
- The objective is located in a secure facility beneath his mansion/penthouse.
- Easiest access is via a secured door within the penthouse.
- Door has redundant locks, and security will be on-site fo rthe party.
- Kasumi and Shepard will use the cover of the party to break into the vault and recover the objective.
- Weapons are not allowed at the party. Shepard and Kasumi will carry concealed pistols.
- Kasumi has found a way to get weapons and armor into the vault, but they'll have to get past the vault door to recover them.

CITADEL BRIEFING:
On the Citadel, Kasumi tells Shepard that her foe is arms dealer Donovan Hock. Kasumi wants to steal encrypted weapons specs Hock got by killing her dead partner. They'll infiltrate Hock's mansion during a rare party for shady dangerous elites, and like all guests, they'll bring an extravagant gift as tribute.

Archived Password 1

"Evil is Good."

Current Password

"I Hate Kittens."

Kasumi curses in Japanese.

CINEANIM: Hock shows up flying a gunship as the player and squad run for cover.

Mr. Gunn and Ms. Kozou, or whoever you really are, you've earned my personal attention ...

Thank you for your entertainment value. Please enjoy being shot, burned and bled to death.
