Microsoft Conspiring Against Bioware?

As has been said leaks like this are usually down to individuals acting for money or other things. You get various scenerio's where you'll have somebody given a beta demo for whatever reason usually a review or something and maybe their friend who really wants to play the game convinces them to let them borrow it to play it and then they copy it and upload it someplace. Unfortunately you can't watch every single person who gets a promo copy of the demo to review it to make sure they aren't showing anybody they are not supposed to or not leaking it online.
But also it's great for publicity and i think with a big release like this you always get people who want to get there first and learn all the secrets so they can throw spoilers out there. Some people get their thrills from being the guy who tells everyone what will happen. People are talking and if Bioware can get some early reaction from people they can get an idea of what the reaction to certain things in the full game will be.

Retaliation? Hell no. If this conspiracy theory proves anything it's that Microsoft is lending BioWare a hand. This leak generated great positive buzz for ME3. The tidbits gleaned have revitalized speculation by giving fans new topics to talk about. This was the best thing to happen to ME3's marketing campaign yet.

Some people get their thrills from being the guy who hits that person repeatedly with a sledgehammer.

Also, does the beta leak even hurt Bioware much? Doesn't seem like it will still be a story a few days from now.

Microsoft is trying to become a monopoly again. They constantly keep forgetting about antitrust law.
Microsoft was never not a monopoly. The whole joke of a trial did nothing to Microsoft, they kept Windows and IE integrated. The hardware branch was never broken away from the software branch. Fact remains if you don't play by Microsot's rules you can have your licenses yanked and your business (if you're a PC manufacturer) is pretty much done.

PC manufacturer - do you mean Hardware ? If so what licenses are you talking about ?
You don't need Microsoft permission to develop a new CPU, Graphics Card, new mouse ... or complete PC set.
Ever heard about PC/Laptops bundled with Linux? There are plenty of them.

Most of the manufacturers who bundle linux are small and don't really add to Microsoft's income.

Microsoft simply messing up seems most likely.

Major plot spoilers were data mined from the beta leak. They are old and some are certainly subject to change, but I doubt all of them will. Now people are spamming the ME3 forums with spoilers, some people being trollish enough to put the spoilers in the title of the thread.

I can expect lawsuit from EA/Bioware for Microsoft leaking ME3 Beta and story.
Screw lawsuits and the like. I was hoping Bioware could use this to their advantage of convincing Microsoft to release their grip on restricting ME1 from being ported to the PS3 (even though I no longer own one and play PC only these days), that would of been my ideal solution.
P.s. No I do not think Microsoft are out to get Bioware or EA. Like every business there is always someone who misclicks or makes mistakes, not everything is conspiracy theory. Too many people wear tin foil hats these days. But don't worry the world isn't really out to get you and have no fear those aliens abudctions don't really involve butt probing... That monster under your bed? Just a teddy bear.

On a more serious note, Microsoft have been in trouble with the EU Competition Commission before with the issue of monopolies, being fined hundreds of millions of pounds more that once. If they wanted damage the marketing of the product and EA I think they would be able to find a better way of doing so. I wouldn't even imagine this registers on Microsoft's raidar as a real problem, it's already got several IP's restricted to Xbox anyway which have proved more lucrative than ME.

Microsoft cant even write a decent OS. Their incompetence knows no bounds.
Oh thats not true. Their so good that they need to come out with another one over and over again.
It doesn't take a genius to see the greed there. Its not that they can't write a decent OS they see more profit in not doing so.
