I trust Admiral Cheez and believe this game will be the finest game masterpiece of epicness in a game I have and ever will experience. However....I am now very VERY worried about Legion after reading this....

Oh and Legion.
Is Legion squadmate.
PLEASE END MY PAINS WITH YES OR NO!!!

Well, yes and no. But, if you're a fan of his, leave this website now, or you will be very sad when you find a certain event out.

O_O what the hell are they going to do to one of my favorite characters?! He better not be the biggest betrayal ever!! I'll be heartbroken....:crying:

And the Rachni better not turn out to be pawns of the reapers the whole time and are enemies regardless....

I'm avoiding the spoilers - I want my ME3 experience to be largely pristine - though I have watched the leaked demo footage since it shows stuff we've largely seen hehe.

Can't wait :) I have no doubts the game is going to rock my poor brains out \\o/ Come on March 6th!

And welcome back Jeff - as for Marshal/Terror, I really could care less if they approve or not since the only person in the end the game needs to impress for my enjoyment is me. Erm, no offense meant by that either of course.

I'd also like to suggest to those who appreciate the work of the scribes at Edmonton that you consider sending a tweet or two showing off your fandom -- tell them you respect the universe they've crafted and to keep on keepin' on. That's what I'm doing now.

As one who dabbles in writing a bit here and there myself, I imagine this must be a pretty low blow. Unless you're one of those "BioWare, you have sprinkled garlic all over me and thrust a stake through my beating heart" types, consider doing so. I'd imagine some of them feel kinda crappy now, rough draft or not.

Once again, from combing a couple of threads for research (while
somehow managing to avoid the actual spoilers themselves! Whoo!) it
sounds like this is a pretty rough draft indeed. So a lot of things
might have changed. Either way, it's as polarizing as ever, of course.

I would call it extremely rough.  Maybe even "early preliminary".  Imagine if you were writing a book, and you had written almost nothing on the story beyond the outline.  This is something like that.

Personally, if I was BW, I would be supremely pissed about the whole situation.  I think of it as how I'd feel if someone stole an outline or rough draft to one of my short stories when it was less than 1/4 done and distributed it, claiming to know everything that happens in my story from that.

Does she look like she's going to be like that in the final game?

I think just that we don't have to totally hate on this info. I don't know it, but it seems like there's been a lot of hate.

Edit: TIM was better.

I'm not gonna believe much from an unfinished beta leak that was translated from russian by google translate. So I'm still excited for the game, hell this nerd rage will keep me amused until march.

It's subjective, really. Depends what you prioritize in the trilogy. For example, my favorite characters are being dismissed as irrelevant or changed, stupid things occur and my choices are being dismissed. However, somebody who's not done my choices and doesn't care about those characters will find it better, possibly enjoy it if they like what they see.

Edit: TIM was better.

Look at this disgruntled man, he's not amused with your answer.

Eh, as a writer of Tabletop RPGs, I can see your point.  I would hate to see my work leaked out on the net and people criticizing the work, because I know that stuff goes through multiple edits before it is released.  Things change and ideas may not get put in the book.

However, when the Dragon Age 2 stuff got leaked, people made very similar statements against what was leaked in the code.  A lot of people made the same argument (Me included) that it was probably old files and that the actual game would be different.

We were wrong.

So I can understand why people are freaking out.  Mass Effect 3 is looking shaky and even if the story has changed, I am sure it hasn't changed THAT much.

I remain pessimistically cautious..... :bandit:

Alright, so as my friends here have no doubt noticed, I've had very limited time for BSN lately. First time I came back after two days to discover the beta leak. Now I come back after another off-day to discover this.

OK, I'm glad Cheez and quite a few others are pleased with what they've seen. It's unfortunate that plenty of other folks are not. But that's ever-expected. I'm curious to know how much of the apparently-very-rough draft ends up in the final product, but I'm going to do my best to avoid all those spoilers. I won't be reading the draft; I'll also try limiting my exposure to these forums from hereon out until release day. Yeah, it sucks, I like a lot of you. But it's going to be pretty hard to avoid discussions of these potential spoilers.

Pretty... damn... hard.

Once again, from combing a couple of threads for research (while somehow managing to avoid the actual spoilers themselves! Whoo!) it sounds like this is a pretty rough draft indeed. So a lot of things might have changed. Either way, it's as polarizing as ever, of course.

So wait, do marshalleck and Terror_K actually like what they've seen, though? If that's the case, then wow. Mission accomplished, BioWare Edmonton; pack up your bags and go home, you won't do any better than this. :P

Marshallek hasn't been around and Terror K posted some things but nothing that could be called important - maybe I missed something, check out her or his profile and threads visited recently. And Jeff, don't read the darft, no need for it - it's rough, and as I said, some things have multiple endings some don't and maybe many of those things were changed anyway. It's written as all writers actually do writing - notes on ideas, in order, even wondering parts about some plotlines - that's what we call Book of Writing in my country when we write (and trust me one this one, that's my profession, I actually earn for living that way).
If you're interested Saphra Deden had few posts on renegade and paragon playout on Rachni and Mesina 2 was posting too, quite diplomatic posts and Arcian had few good ones too.
Bottomline is, Jeff, you didn't miss much, trust me on this... I did read that script, but only 'cause BSN went crazy and as soon ans I saw Cheez' topic, well, had to do that, 'cause I trust her judgment and wanted to support her as well as people from ME3. This whole thing left bad taste in my mouth 'cause it looked like WoW forums before every expansion release, so, lay back, if you pre-odered SWtoR be joyful and wait for your own ending of Shepard's saga.
And I miss Phaedon's posts atm - he would bring more sense into all this.

No, were were just saying that IF they did, it's be a snowy day in h311. marsh hasn't been around that I've seen, I think terror_K dislikes, not totally sure on that one.

Thanks for the heads-up. =]

People keep saying that these spoilers have no weight because it’s a rough draft. It should be ignored because it’s only notes and nothing more. Okay, fine. Why not talk about how silly is it to be happy about what’s being heard then? It’s not okay to be disappointed and have concerns based on what information was released, but it’s perfectly fine to be in utter bliss and ecstatic over it?

Either you dismiss the information as null and have no reaction to it, or you read it and give it some validity and have a reaction to it. You can’t expect all the reactions are going to be gleeful.
