The leaked information is not comprehensive enough to account for every single variation.

From what I have seen, the sources seem to be saying that the Reapers have reindoctrinated the Rachni as the consequence of allowing her to live.

Other than that, idk on details.

Did we read the same spoilers?

Yep.  You can't read it like a book, son.  A list of plot points alone isn't enough to judge a story.

I hope so. Because I did not like what I saw. And this is coming from a pro-DA2 person.

well, seeing as how we all are in agreement that DA2 sucked hard, you not liking it is kinda optimistic

If the 5000 "arguing about DA2's quality" threads are any indication, there has been no such agreement.

And if you really want to judge the spoilers, I suggest you read them first. At your own peril, mind you.

Guys.

Holy hell.

Guys.

This game is huge.

Wow.  I mean, wow.

Your decisions really, really matter.  And you won't believe who's coming back, the places you get to go, the things you get to do, who lives and dies, who's siding with whom and why...  For a sh*tty rough outline, this is gonna be amazing.

This is AdmiralCheez, tell you personally that the game has not been ruined.  ME3, judging by a very early implementation of its storyline, is going to rock and rock hard.  And, looking at the gameplay footage, combat and squad banter has been improved 300%.

There were some parts that were a bit blah, but no worse than what we've already dealt with and nothing so facepalmy as the Lazarus Project.

And I can guarantee you will f*cking cry.

Post on your real account, Casey.

I too would appreciate this. I won't go spreading it around, I'm not even sure I'll read it. But I'd like the possibility.

Well I'm not too worried about the possibility of ME3's story rendering ME2 pointless, because I never saw much of a point to ME2's story anyway. I just need three things from ME3's storyline:

1) ME3's core stories actually focuses on finding a way to stop the Reapers rather than "solve Squadmate X's personal problem" or other nonsense. SIdequests, sure, but not the main story.

2 Actions taken in the first two games are reflected in ways greaters than a cameo/email,

3) Closure with certain plot threads from previous games.  Romance storylines, the Lazarus Project, the Cipher, Cerberus, stuff like that

Did we read the same spoilers?

this.

what I read made me angry, then made me weary and then made me hopeful that someone somewhere will datamine fresher spoilers from official demo, once it comes out in january, so that I know if I'll end up waiting for ME3 to go on super amazing sale after all.  the more I read, the more it sounded like some biased, crappy, "lets add some drama for the same of drama and logic/plausibility be damned" piece of fanfiction.

I'm hoping that people who say that it was probably just one of the possibilities, on the less optimal side, because if that was the best outcome we could hope for?  oy.

I admit I only skimmed a very few spoilers, but much of what I saw seemed implausible as something that would go in the finished product.  And much of what did seem plausible looked very dependant on player action (this person and that person must be alive, Shepard must have done this and said that, etc)

Given that we were told that they could "go nuts" with divergent paths in ME3, it's possible only a fraction of the material was leaked.  And even what was ins't 100% accurate.

as an aside, for those who've read the info and gotten angry about certain plot directions, keep in mind it was datamined from a leaked and incomplete beta. just from reading it myself it seems to only allow for a rather narrow branching of story builds from your actions in ME1/2. it most certainly does not contain nor quantify every possible piece of the story. just by reading it, you can tell it's not complete, it just gives a vague outline of some of the possible paths to the end

Blunt head trauma? I have something better, it's called Assassins Creed Revelations, Skyrim, Batman AC and Saints Row. I know I'll forget anything I may have glanced at in 4 and 8 days respectively.

I added a few things in that  :D

Assassin's Creed and Batman? But of course sir! I already have Batman AC at the ready to help with the memory loss.^_^

That's what I walked away with, not everything was there, and the things that were were repeated several times in slightly different fasions.  Enough to know that you'll be seeing branching based on your decisions within ME3 and from the previous games.

"inplausible and sounds a lot like something Saphra would write" is what I originaly thought.. untill official sources came out and said that this was an early built.  just the fact that some of the plot point/character actions were concidered at all - makes me weary.  I didn't like what I was seeing in terms of character development.
