Well, after seeing the rough draft of the ME3 script and the entire weapons list, I'm gone. Odds are that many of my complains regarding a certain character taken in an OOC direction as well as unavoidable deaths, linearity, negating any and all choices from previous games, etc were addressed by Bioware during development due to the delay as well as the fact that Mass Effect has always thrived on player choice and variables.

At this point, everything in the doc is already common knowledge. Still, any sort of marketing, twitter posts, etc at this point will totally decrese my enjoyment of Mass Effect 3. The rough draft of the design doc already got me raging enough on these forum but things that may not have been implemented in the was that they were initially intended to be and I don't want to feel any more spoiled so I'm off. Next time, devs shouldn't leave spoilers in their demos and betas and players shouldn't data mine for spoilers. I feel like my anticipation for ME3 has been weakened and I'm going to enjoy replaying the first two games less as a result.

So goodbye, see you after launch.

Maybe they shouldn't, but they still will.

Did you go into a thread itself or the website which contained the spoilers? If so, then that's your fault, if not and you were spoiled by a troll, then I would say "Well, that sucks, but I hope you have fun with the game".

I already PMed a dev about a character I felt was OOC if Shepard was a paragon in ME2 and posted a thread about my biggest complaint about gameplay. I tied up my loose ends here enough to move on. I'm still paying off my pre-order and I'm going to enjoy the new weapons but for the next few months these forums are going to devolve into bigger and bigger spoilers.

I'm happy that one LI got a bigger, better role during development and I hope to see more catering to fan demands but I've already said what I want to say. So now, I'm gone, keep the Reapermance thread alive for me while I'm away. ;)

Which character? I'm curious (I've already read the drafts). You can PM me if you want to avoid spoilers in this thread.

This not totally true. We have had people basically pull the cry of "SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE " kind of situation going on in the forums. There is still a high possibility that people will get spoiled not just through these forums as well but through other sites as well.

People still enjoyed Harry Potter.  If a story is good, and the game is well-done, people are still going to have a great experience with it.  Knowing plot points ahead of time doesn't compare with actually experiencing it, viscerally and first-hand.

I think people need to chill a bit.  We are in the age of the Internet; you won't be able to avoid information.  It's disappointing that it got leaked this early, but these things will happen, and they will happen more and more frequently in the future.

One mans spoiler is another mans press release.

Simply by coming to these forums, you spoiled it for yourself. You could have gone along and avoided all forums, and gaming news sites if you wanted to live without spoilers. You didnt. Stop blaming others for something that is purely your fault.

Ok. Someone at Bioware or Microsoft, either or both, f***ed up, and has damn near killed all but a little of my hype for this game. Why the f*** did this information reach the net?!

When are people going to realize that others don't really care much if you're leaving because you've been disappointed in something? If you want to leave, I have no problem with it, but you don't need to announce that.

Actually, I dare say, leaving with slam-the-door fury you're not even going to be taken as seriously as just being gone one day.

Yuuuuupp, great!!! I avoided'em all!!!!!!

I've had enough when I spoiled myself many points of of "A Song Of Ice & Fire" while reading "A Game Of Thrones", "A Clash Of Kings" and "A Storm Of Swords" when I checked a wiki to remember a few things/ characters. Now I'm much carefull with these things.

I had no problem watching the prologue mission, but avoided the second video (just a few secs to watch a bit of gameplay and skills system), not to talk about all this major spoiler leak from which I've been milles away :)

So it's us to blame because of some dick showing major spoilers for no reasons but to be a dick?

That depends entirely on where those spoilers were shown...if someone shows up here and links to a third party site with spoilers and you follow that link, that's most definitely NOT his fault.

Now if he pops up with a spoiler in a random thread, that's different.

Well, I've never denied that I'm here for spoilers. I have several questions to how the player's choices will be played in ME3, and damn, I'd better have spoiler and cancelled preorder before release than broken keyboard and disc thrown out of window after.

Let's face it, there isn't any chance in staying on official boards and not get spoiled. Either by hyper excited fellow forumites or by trolls or by attention seekers.
