I'm made it the caves and I just finished beating The Chasind guard and all his mages, when I want to continue it tells me that a key is required for the gate in front of me, but the only thing to loot is a mage and a crate.  No keys. 

Has anyone else had this problem, Do you know how to get past it?

I figured it out. I played a mage who had death siphon on. There was a glitch that cause death siphon to suck up the body, but not leave the loot. restarted from auto save turned it off the siphon and was able to continue

i believe that's a known bug - the key should be on the guard guy - try reloading from before the fight?

That's nice to know, should I ever decide to use death syphon.

You just answered my next question. I am stuck at the last gate in the caves also. Will try a reload.

Makes me glad all my mages always have been and will remain Elementalists (Elemental/Primal/Force)
