Yes it is. You just keep wanting more and more. All it does is ruin the original story..

THIS.

Once again, THIS.  For the love of god, why couldn't they have let the Warden's story end with Origins?!

Cuz some people like the character that took them 50 ot playthroughs to be comfortable w/ only to load up da2 and find that zevran isnt dead after you killed him instead of recruiting him, and would like if they could remember all the decisions you made and give it some sort of cameo.... /rant over:whistle:

So basically what you are saying is that it your playthrough since Zevran is killed the Murder of Crows sidequest should not be present and another quest should have taken its place. Those who let Zervan live would get the Murder of Crows quest.

That is fair enough. Some are upset with Leliana return in Exiled Prince. Well Exiled Prince is DLC. If you bought the standard edition you did not even get the dlc (unless you buy it separately). If you bought the Collector's edition you got Exiled Prince along with the Black Emporium. DLC is not considered canon. You do not have to buy it. It is a nice addition, but not necessary for the completion of the game. The same with Origins dlc it is not canon according to the writers unless they choose to make it so.

No where did the writers or developers state that every decision made in Origins and Awakenings would find its way into DA2.

Zevran appearing if you killed him is a bug that I'm fairly certain was rectified.

I simply want to play a character who is NOT already 'someone' the way Hawke was. The thing that I liked about my Warden was that I had decisions to make, places to explore, and that I could explore the consequences of her actions. With Hawke, we're just replaying the past. While we can change -some- of the outcomes, she's still the Hero of Ferelden. I would much prefer playing a less scripted character in the way that the Warden was less scripted, if that makes sense.

The first game was so much more in depth, and there were so many small touches which would let you explore the character of your PC and the NPC Companions with you. it was great fun. While I would love playing my Warden again, I would be happy with just getting to play in the style of DA:O and not DA2, if that makes sense. I liked having the ability to choose different origins and then deal with the consequences of those origins, etc.

Leiliana's main return appearance is in the DLC (and I'm iritated at that 'cause I can't get DLC) but she also has a small appearance even if you don't have DLC - her return IS canon

I thought Origins ended the warden's story well with the options of death, a rise to power (marriage for human nobles only) [I don't know if it is true but I once read that traditionally stories used to always end with marriage or death] or heading off into the sunset.
The DLC follow-ups weakened this a little but the only problem is Dragon Age 2 reporting the warden mysteriously vanishing (a plot device for the future? or just a contrivance as an excuse for the warden not getting involved in later events?) - while I'm happy making up my own ideas about what the warden did next - this unanswered question may be answered contradicting anything I may come up with
