CH's latest tweet:

“@ashbzak: I know #ME3 will be great, and fans like myself will avoid spoilers at all costs.” We appreciate that tremendously.

If the leaked script is inaccurate then its contents cannot be considered spoilers.

That's because it's not 100% inaccurate. Some parts are true. Hence, spoilers.

Well that's an improvement on the "lalalala none of it is necessarily true" stance of some posters.

With that said, there are things in the leaked script that is contradicted by the footage we've seen, and other stuff which contradicts itself within the script. Plus, if we look at stuff found in ME2's TLK files, like Samara having gone to Earth in the 1600's, Zaeed having a Mako mission, Kasumi's mission being about stopping a plague, the monologue of an indoctrinated person on the derelict reaper, etc etc, the TLK files aren't exactly a reliable source of information about the end result.

The bold bit is pretty much par for the course now. It's hardly like ME1+2 didn't contradict both themselves and each other. And let's not forget the atrocity that was Arrival.

As for the TLK files,
1. I think there's quite a difference between unused TLK files and an actual script/plot outline document.
2. Zaeed and Kasumi were not even in the final product, and neither was the Mako, so those are just examples of cuts. Samara didn't go to Earth? So what? This stuff is hardly central to the story. I get the feeling that the people who are unhappy with the ME3 plot don't just want minor things cut from the sides; they want the central plot gutted and rewritten.

Christ, from the way people are ****ing about all this, you'd think Bioware had promised to repaint everyone's houses, taken the money, then flattened said house and ran off laughing.

That's actually a pretty reasonable analogy.  Bioware promised us that we'd have a rich and climactic ending where our choices in ME1 and ME2 really mattered and came to full fruition.  Near as I can tell, they lied.

That's fine, and I understand your concern. I think what I'm trying to get at here is, having made that point, there is no need for you and the rest of the ME3 nay-sayers to reiterate that comment over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again but with a slight variation in what particular facet of Bioware or the ME series has drawn your ire enough for you to descend from your lofty perch and preach to the rest of us poor misguided souls.

I realise that repetition is what keeps forums like this ticking over, but honestly all this hate went stale a loooong time ago...
