Narratively speaking, I don't know how well that would honestly work. With Tali and Garrus being, in fact, so attached to Shepard for the first two games, the third section of the trilogy would be an extremely odd time for them to jump ship.

Well for Garrus I can see that he really has no other place to go but Tali is a different story.  She is the daughter of an Admiral on the board and can possibly be the replacement for her father.  In the final version, I'm hoping you get a choice to let Tali become an admiral or have her stay with you on the Normandy.  Depending on your decisions, her assisting in leading the Quarians in the final battle could have a positive or negative impact depending on your past with her.  Ex. If Tali leads the Quarians in the final battle, there is a much higher chance that the Quarian race will survive the battle.  The downside is that you will not have her in your squad at the end and you will need another engineer to replace her skills (Legion is pretty useful).

But Tali being an admiral is only possible in one out of three outcomes, and it can't be made essential.

I openly admit Kaidan s/s is a fanservice lol, just as Tali's was. I said it many times, and I said many times that I don't mind she got fanserviced. I mind when one character gets fanserviced over and over again when everyone else gets neglected.

It's funny how I already said I don't mind fanservice since I want one too. Now the difference Talimanders and Garrus fans don't notice is the amount of fanservice Tali & Garrus recieve compared to everyone else. They already got their romances and 2nd time as perma-squad members and are now getting it for the 3rd time. Yet somehow for you it compares to fans of other characters who ask to be fanserviced at least once lol.

I actually had some things to say about this whole Spoiler thing and the 'fan service' debate and how it feels being a VS fan in this whole situation.
But currently I don't really want to leap right into the middle of all this. Too much anger.

That said, while it's true that there is a lot of hostility and mean natured attitude being pushed towards the VS fanbase of recent, I would encourage my fellow VS fans to not do the same thing.

I'm just going to hang out over here on the moral high ground.:innocent:

What's all thsi Tali's superior crap? she's cool but she's terribly underdeveloped. She's immature, racist against the geth and horribly inept at leading combat teams. Jacob is a chosen fire team leader so no one dies, he's an increidble biotic, he doesn't give a **** what shepard's done he won't bend to their will, and he's a n awesome bro and LI that actually ASKS SHEPARD HOW THEY'RE DOING unlike Tali who only cares about her problems and disliking Cebreurs. She also ocvers up a war crime while in the same situation Jacob will have his own father jailed for his crimes agaist his own crew while Tali' can't bear to report crimes against geth, whom she hates with the burnign passion of a 1000 suns.

Well... there is kind of a problem with the human male squadmates Bioware has made: both Kaidan and Jacob are mild biotic officers of Alliance extraction, even if Jacob isn't really in the Alliance anymore. I think Kaidan may have had issues with his voice acting and simple memetic mutation, but Jacob... honestly, didn't even come across like they were attempting anything new. He fulfilled a role quite similar to Kaidan's, but with less background. And James Vega is... yet another Alliance soldier, just not biotic. Note that the one not-Alliance-at-all human male, Zaeed, has never been called bland/boring in my experience. Sure, he's gotten other negative comments along the lines of "total ****," but the fact remains that doing something different will lead to different results. And James Vega seems to lack this.

Equal treatment how? Do you support a 20-man squad? Or are you a proponent of the "rotating cast, no-one is permanent" scenario? The fact is, Bioware has to pick favourites, and it appears the favourites they have chosen are Tali, Garrus and Liara. You may not agree with these choices, but be aware that the choice had to be made.

oh its possible.  give us a choice who is on the available grounside mission squad, and who gets to participate from a distance.  equal dialogue recorded for all, though depending on whom you pick for your squad for any single playthrough, you might not hear that dialogue.  no favoritism.  no choices that are so skewed in one direction that chosing anything else will require acting stupider then chosing grunt for a fire team leader.  no character assasinations, no making less popular characters into tiny cameo's/whipping boys/girls.  no confrontations that make you facepalm and wonder if someone smoked a little too much of the "good stuff" when writing it.
