I think reading leaks will give nothing, mainly because BW, will alter script somehow.

It's possible that sigificant changes were made between when the info in that beta originated, and now, even.

Yeah so I think reading the leaks is pointless.

This.  Some of the biggest stuff may stay relatively close to the first draft notes, but other stuff will no doubt change.   For instance, the Thane mission in the leaks and the one described in the Xbox magazine (something about criminals holding Hannar scientists hostage) aren't even close to the same.  The only similarity is that Thane is in the mission. That's it.  Everything else is changed.

Also mission where Shep is rescuing that Krogan female, it may also change, because this leaked build, it was said it was old, so BW may have put in some things or even take some out, and we never can be too sure of those, as we need to wait till the release of the game it self.

You guys are kidding yourself is you think the leaked beta is THAT old.

If it's really old, than it wouldn't have been leaked now, months later, would it? I guess that the info in the leaked beta is 1 or 2 months old AT MOST.

Anyway, that doesn't mean nothing will chance. BioWare still has 5 months to work on ME3, including the story details of every single mission. We'll possibly see lots of chances between now and the final release of ME3. However, you're kidding yourself if you think the current leaked beta is more than 1 or 2 months old.

Yep information on a 6 month old beta is 1 or 2 months old. /sarcasm

It was leaked now from a 6 month old build that was NEVER supposed to be given out to players yet in the first place.

That is the thing no one really knows more than anyone else does at this point unless they work Bioware at the moment. Even if you read the script nothing in there has been 100% confrimed.

Not only that, but the descriptions for the two levels that the demo actually uses (prologue and Krogan Princess) DON'T EVEN MATCH UP WITH WHAT WAS ON THE DEMO!

If the descriptions for even those two levels are different, it is clear that this is a really, really old script.

Was the script this bad?...

Yes.

And this even forgetting that I've got kicked at 4 of my top 5 squadmates.

Hi,
I have a question for those who have read the script:

Will I have the option to finish the game with only choosing from the main squad, or the other temporary squadmates will be forced on me like in the loyalty missions in ME"2" ?

My interpretation (and it's just that, an interpretation) is that for certain missions, former squadmates (if alive) come along as temporary squadmates.  This seems different from ME2's loyalty missions, as these missions aren't "Shepard helps squadmate x rescue their kitten from a tree (then eat it, in the case of renegade Sheps) " as Shepard and X teaming up to stop something bad from happening.  They are doing their part for the war effort.

Having this squadmate along seems to affect how the mission plays out (as opposed to their being dead).  How you handled their loyalty mission, or if you did it at all, may be a contributing factor as well.  Not sure on that.

This is more SPOILERish

Will Shepards resurrection properly be explained and will it have any kind of meaning to the story?

Thanks

I haven't seen anything to that affect.  But then I haven't read all the spoilers.  Mac Walters did tweet a while back hinting that we may learn more about the Lazarus Project in ME3.  I for one hope there is more of an explanation.

I think the spoilers will give a broad outline of what ME3 will entail.  Specifics will of course be subject to change.

Really? I did a search through the document and his hame didn't pop up...

I'm doing it that way to see if some of my favorite characters were in the script without spoiling it by reading the entire thing.

Thanks! :wizard:

What is the time we are talking about?
- I presume game will be distributed world wide. Thats shipping. Like, conteinerships, crossing the seas. Thats like what 2 - 3 weeks on route? I dont belive that game cd -s will be distributed by air.
- How long does it take to produce cd-s and print labels, for world wide release? its like 30 for manufacturing? Thats 4 weeks work?
- local distribution? I can get mail package across europe like in 10 days to 14 days - thats again 2 weeks?
Bottom line:
Besause of hard copy logistics, thats 8 - 9 weeks before releace it must be ready, sealed, done, finito.
Now that means with something like 5 months to release they have actual time for any changes like what 3 months, thats 90 calendar days, thast 60 business days. And you cant be just creative and work at night and at weekends, coordination will need business to be done in between monday and Friday.
I would say the time is running out, fast.

I still presume, and guess, that what i saw in the leak, was not complete material or even complete storyline for one new game. It was like too little for that and too thin. Main story of mass effect 3? I hope not.

And how exactly do you know it's from a 6 months old build? Because BioWare said so? And you really trust BioWare's word on that?

Why would a 6 months old build leak now? Why not 6 months ealier?
