i hope it is "rough" but i doubt that much has changed from the leaks to the final game

*sigh*

This script at least outdates E3.

That's 4-5 months of time to change stuff.

And hell, it can be even older!

4-5 months is nothing especially this late in Dev.  In fact the main story arc/plot is (and has to be) the first thing that's finalized.  Details may differ but not the basic accuracy.

That's the thing, we don't know how exactly old this draft is, it is 100% accurate to assume it's 5 months old, but we don't know anymore beyond that.

It could be over a year old for all we know, which was when ME3 was playable. As other posters have said, there are files in ME2 that are RADICALLY different from what happened in-game. Finally, BioWare tweets have said they are still finishing up some story elements like romance.

There's reason to be concerned (I guess; i refused to read the spoilers), but the attitude you're taking is a bit unnecesarry. If anything, you don't need to throw it in everyone's face by constantly asserting how right you are.

Don't bother pointing out facts like that. IanPolaris will just ignore it and then pretend he didn't see the post.

I typically get spoiled w/ movies all the time. Funny thing is when the spoiler actually happens, I usually say to myself, "Oh, now I remember that was supposed to happen."

Anyway, thanks Chris for the update. I'll probably forget most of what I read, so it's all cool.

So it's all out of date, and yet it contains spoilers which we shouldn't discuss. And you won't make a spoiler forum, because they're not really spoilers, except that they are really spoilers, so we shouldn't talk about the spoilers that aren't spoilers in the non-spoiler forum.

Thanks for the clarification, Chris. Awesome work.

Okay, a little harsh, but...ROFL! Image IPB

I read through the spoilers because I am not the waiting type. I only saw two or three things one could consider jaw-dropping in the documents. Other items are mission details of the storylines you know need to be resolved or have been shown in demos and shouldn't be too much of a surprise.

I'm frankly still excited to see what affect your previous decisions actually have on the storyline and how they may diverge the endpoint.

Well if you do you better make it pretty obvious your posting a spoiler but I don't think you can.

Okay, just to make this clear. "First Draft", that means the FIRST DRAFT. That means it's older than the reveal at the VGAs, it was the first thing made after the the game went into production, and for those of you who don't get just how much changes within a story during development, here's the entire original Half Life 2 story:

http://half-life.wik...ginal_storyline

Drastically different on all levels, from tone to characters to progression. Things change over the evolution of a story, a lot of things.

Please point me to one. So far all I've seen are some emails and a bunch of stuff relating to DLC characters.

Well for one, the intro was supposed to be played as Legion who works together with Liara to recover Shepard's body.

See, this is a perfect example. The general plot point remains the same (Shepard dies), but everything else is completely different.

I translated your post to show how BSN sees it.

Okay, just to make this clear. "First Draft", that means the FINAL DRAFT. That means it's somehow newer than the reveal at the VGAs, it was the LAST thing made after the the game went into production, and for those of you who don't get just how much changes within a story during development, here's the entire original Half Life 2 story:

ZERO difference on all levels, from tone to characters to progression. Things don't change over the evolution of a story, a lot of things

I fail to see that this is any different.  You are substituting one preset screen play with another.

So they swapped Legion for Feron and moved it from the main game into the LotSB DLC, and otherwise it was exactly the same? That's not much of a difference IMO. Certainly not a "RADICAL" one.

The leak just makes me sick. I have avoided all your comments and topics in the forum because I'm scared to see a story spoiler. AND I HATE IT! I know this would be the last thing BW would want. I so was looking forward to spending the next few months wasting time by debating why my vanguard was better than your infiltrator or how so-n-so is the best squadmate. I'm too scared now to even look at forum topics. I'll try my best to stay away, certainly now while the flames are the highest.

Maybe I'll try Skyrim. Doubt I'll like it, but it'll take my mind off ME3 . .

I really hope some of the stuff in there stays... There's a really powerful scene which at first sounded unavoidable (good!) but now I'm hearing it might not be (hmm, not as sure), so I'll be really disappointed if I don't get it on my playthrough >.<
