Can't believe it already sold 9.2 mil on the first day. It's the same crap dammit! How can people buy this stuff anymore.
I have no idea... I think it's more about the "social experience" CoD multiplayer provides than anything. Everything else about the game is just window dressing.
Since I'm about as sociable as a Buddhist monk, however, no CoD game will ever make its way into my games library.

"Social experience"? It's amazing that people seriously enjoy yelling at a TV screen for five hours straight.

I think that might be exactly why they enjoy it - they can yell and cuss at people, and openly taunt and humiliate them without any fear of reprisal. It lets people revel in a bit of schadenfreude from the relative safety of their headsets.

I know I'm not one of them. If I'm playing multiplayer and I'm not there with friends, I'll plug in my mic and set it on the floor so I can't hear the kids and the loudmouths.
But when friends are gaming with me, its a great time. Chatting it up and having fun.
Especially when we're formulating strategies and executing them, even more so on a very unbalanced and nonfunctioning enemy team.
Good stuff.

Can someone actually says what is wrong with the campaign - and some spoiler please? The game has got lots of hate reviews.
Naah, I won't drop spoilers. People are probably just mad because they killed off one of the main characters thats been around since COD4.
That and there was a moment in the campaign that felt like it was placed for pure shock value and might ****** off a few people(kind of like how people were offended by the Dead Island trailer with the little girl turning into a zombie and falling out of a building 3 stories to her death).

People dislike the compaign because it's linear, and you next to never get to know the characters you're playing as. The story keeps switching from POV to POV without giving any incentive to care about what's going on except "Russians are attacking the White House!" or "There's been an EMP blast in Washington D.C!" Why should we care about what goes on if we don't even care about the characters? The briefings inbetween the missions do a considerably bad job at briefing the player. The action didn't make much sense and the environments were washed down.
