I have a physical copy of Dragon Age 2 and installed it just fine. I patched it just fine, and then I went to fire it up and it asked me to login to my EA account. I typed in my e-mail and password but it keeps telling me "could not activate" and then it tells me to put in my product key, which I did, and it tell me it was already used. So I couldn't proceed. I typed in my information God-knows-how-many-times, and it keeps giving me the same bull. Am I missing something I need to do? I'd really, really appreciate some help.

Thank GOD Skyrim is coming out Friday.

Actually, numerous retailers ignored the official date and released it early.  Bethesda had to start a spoiler forum a couple of days ago.

Official support is here:  help.ea.com/

Meanwhile, don't skip the stickies here, please:

It requires Steam. I am opposed to anyone's apron strings tying my system down.

I know this is completely off topic but SKYRIM REQUIRES STEAM!? ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME!? *rant over* *sigh* Lately all the games i want to play bow down to Gabe Newell and his quest to have a monopoly on games.

That's good to hear.

Meanwhile, Steam added a new and conflicting layer of DRM that some are referring to as a Rootkit, to Skyrim, and caused more problems than any other aspect in that game.

Here in the Social Forums, all message traffic remains low, as though it was still summer, not fall.

I wrote this in the DA: O forum, which remained more popular than DA2 ever got, being a much better game, and far more engrossing, so even when forum traffic on this game plummeted just a couple of months after release, DAO was still active:

Dragon Age is over two years old, and apparently has finally started losing popularity. It is already past time to see a general upswing in messaging activity, if there was going to be one (usual popularity swings from low in summer, to high in winter).

There are two years' worth of archives, but the forum's own Finder is broken - - it was built that way, and never improved upon. Reading between the lines from a couple of Biowarian messages in the past, I've gotten the impression that it will never be fixed.

But Google and Yahoo still work well. Just add a redirect:

site:social.bioware.com

That applies in here as well, just for a more limited backlog of threads.
