I was just going through my players guide and found out that I deprived my self of 2 vary good side quests. I can not do the following side quests with out starting DAO over again.

1. Sparing Avernus in DAO, lets you do Dark Epiphany (gives you two free attribute points) in DA2.

2. Choosing Bhelen to be king in DAO, let you do Last of his Line (if you save Harrowmont, he gives you 1 sovereign now in act 1 and at the start of act 2 he gives you 5 soverigns and a piece of armor.) in DA2.

I also lost these side quests = 3. Sparing Sophia Dryden, lets you do Terror on the Coast (gives you the Robe of Hidden Pockets for a mage and a reasonable sum of money).

4. Siding with the werewolves during the Nature of the Beast quest in DAO. Lets you do Changing One's Nature (as fare as rewards, it does not say).

The 5th side quest I can still do Miracle Makers in DA2. To get the Miracle Makers side quest you must reveal the existence of Andraste's ashes.

If you Import your DAOs character in to Awakening, there are 2 side quests and 2 Secondary quests that are affected by importing your Awakenings save into DA2.

1. The Silver Order was formed and your character chose to save Vigil's Keep, this lets you do The Conspirators side quest in DA2.

2. You chose to save Amaranthine, this lets you do Secret Rendezvous in DA2.

The secondary quests are Fool's Gold and Finding Nathaniel. You can only play one of these quests a playthrough.

1. You get Fool's Gold, if you did not recuit Nathaniel or Nathaniel died in Awakening.

2. You get Finding Nathaniel (gives you Varric's final armor upgrade), if you recuited Nathaniel and he was not killed, in the siege on Vigil's Keep.

I did one last Origins playthrough for similar reasons.

For the most part, I did everything right with my original DA2 import character, but my elf mage became an Amell mage, and I spared Avernus to activate "Dark Epiphany" for the tome you get.

Things I left unchanged were that I sided with Bhelen, defended Amaranthine and kept Nate alive.

My canon origins playthrough.

Human Noble, Male, Warrior
Saves the Circle
Ends the Curse
Elects Bhelen
Destroys the Anvil
Marries Anora
Performs the Dark Ritual
Recruits Anders, Nathaniel, Velanna, Sigrun, and Justice.
Fully upgrades the Keep
Saves Amaranthine
Spares Architect(though that will change.)

Doesn't leave too much in the DAII side quest area, but it's good.

I decided to just take whatever quests were available and not worry about the ones I missed.

I may be wrong or it was a glitch, but I'm very sure, that I did get Fool's gold and the Nathaniel quest in one playthrough

Thanks, but it does not help me. I play DA on PS3 & Xbox 360.

Play through the game more than once and pick different pre-made backgrounds along with your own import.

Changing One's Nature is available in DA 2, depending on the background you choose, even if you don't import a save from DA:O
