Just to clarify, is this officially a pokemon-in-general thread now, or are we still focusing on the tympole? There's not exactly a lot to go off of for one pokemon.

Generation X Star Trek: The Next Generation

Lord V could still change the Topic Name/OP, and keep it alive. If he doesn't act soon, you may be very well correct. A Tympole thread will not survive. A pokemon thread has a significantly larger audience, and can still be kept on topic. Otherwise, the entire thing will derail.

I agree about the earlier generations - after the first 150, I was pretty much done. How many anthropomorphic enslavable monsters does one family-friendly franchise need?

My favorite generation will always be the first one, even though Lugia is my favorite pokemon (and it belongs to the second generation).
I don't really know if Game Freak is planning to stop some day, I wouldn't be surprised if they hit the 1,000 pokemon mark.
