I've played several of the newer ones (the latest one I've played is Diamond). There's just the nostalgia value of the onld ones, and I know them better. Also too many of the new ones look like weird robots or something.

Nostalgia is a powerful thing over people yes but still the old games and Pokémon were broken as hell(psychic types anyone?). Really the new games and Pokemon play a lot better.

I say go play Black or White you can't find any old Pokémon in them until you beat the story, so no room for nostalgia and you can get to know the new ones better(I also would say get a Drilbur cuz it evolves into the most badass Pokémon ever).

To name a few. I'll admit I just don't know the names of a lot of the new ones so it is hard for me to find some of them.

Magnezone okay I give you that one sort of since it is more of a UFO/flying saucer like thing, but really it would be hard to think up what a Magneton evolves into.

Probopass is a Moai statue.

Bronzong is a psychic Dōtaku.

Espion is my favorite. It was my best pokemon in silver version. I liked that it was one of the best pokemon in the game but it looks like a cute little wild cat/rabbit thing.

Thanks for that interesting bit of info. I had always thought it was a mix of a cat and rabbit (because of the ears.) bit this makes a lot more sense.

Its been a long long time since I've had anything to do with pokemon, but if memory serves me correctly Mewtwo was pretty awesome.
