If you could, would you still be working with Cerberus?

Common knowledge?
Normal people tend to be more cooperative when they're not tortured.
Okay, so where is this all powerful human biotic? Why didn't we recruit her/him instead of Jack? Is it maybe because... just maybe... this person doesn't exist?
She does. She was unavailable and in hiding. In fact that's why Cerberus earned the ire of the Migrant Fleet. She was being hidden by the Quarians for a while and Cerberus took direct action against the largest fleet in the galaxy......

We would know if he'd tried, but he went for the most extreme solution first, as usual.

What I meant was do you believe mass murder is excusable because sometimes someone gains from it?
Someone being many people? Yes.

Gillian was not created through "gentle" or "nice" means at all. She also would be a tad young to serve on Shepard's squad.

How old do you have to be to be an engine of raw destruction as the most poweful human biotic?

I don't know, she seemed rather unnaffected by all the **** she went through - and she actually got a teacher who gave a **** about her.

But the Renegade's goal is still that of the hero: defeat the Reapers and save the galaxy. This is true for alll Shepards, regardless of how you play. TIM's goal is always power.IanPolaris wrote...
For Paragon Sheps, sure. For many Renegade Sheps, I don't think this is true. They want to defeat the Reapers by any means necessary, and if that means TIM's solution, I don't think many Renegade SHeps would lose a minute's worth of sleep over it.
-Polaris
And TIM's the one that sees Shepard as an obstacle to his goals. TIM doesn't pull the "join me" crap until his back's against the wall and he's out of options (I think).
To be honest, I'd welcome the opportunity to side with Cerberus, screw over the aliens, and win the war TIM's way (even though I'd never take it). But that would mean two completely different games with completely different missions. For the same reason, we were forced to work with Cerberus in ME2 and with the Council/Alliance in ME1.

Hell to the no. I hated being railroaded into it in ME2, and can't wait to be out of their grasp in ME3.
Agreed!
Bolded: ROTFLMAO! and QFT1
And seriously after Horizon AND the collector ship mission ALL of my shepards even the renegades( whm I mostly play as) DESPISED TIM more than they did at the beginning of the game and wanted to put their foots in his ass then aka I can't wait to personally put a bullet between TIM's eyes in ME 3.

TIM's goal would save the galaxy too. It's the same as Shepard's goal. Renegade Shepard has always been human first.

Why? There are capable units of soldiers right now (usually in africa) that are too young to shave let alone hold driver's licenses. I don't approve of such things in the slightest but you don't have to be very old to kill and kill very effectively (child soldiers are as old as civilization itself).

So what? I don't think TIM would care.

I am pointing out what kind of moral monster TIM is even if his reasoning is sometimes correct (even a painted clock is right twice a day). Such a person wouldn't hesitate to kill a child if it meant accomplishing the mission.
-Polaris
Edit PS: Bear in mind that emotionally, Jack/SZ is also still an extremely damaged little girl at least emotionally.

You have a very strange and ineffective way of doing it. It's also a waste of time becasue I never said TIM was a Paragon of moral behavior.
Best and worst of humanity, remember?

TIM doesn't give two sh*ts about the galaxy as a whole. He doesn't even care about humanity as a whole--only the parts that fund and support him. He'd wipe out the majority of humanity to make it "stronger."Saphra Deden wrote...
