3, I love ME but I have to leave sometime between each playthrough.

Now I'm with The Witcher and already have the 2nd to start as soon as I finish it, also L.A. Noire in PS3, if I complete them in time I may start a 4th one, but no hurry at all.

2 careers, both paragon/renegade crosses- one of them takes lots of risks (high chance of failure but high yield) while the other is more careful and conservative (no risk taking, no letting terrorists go etc.)

I'll probably also import a 'fail' game where most people die in ME2.

Like xerxes i have every class/gender combo waiting, plus a few extras for the fireworks of not being loyal.  my main mshep has only ever been with tali so i had to make a new soldier to switch from ash to tali and the rest with.  Kaidan i got lucky with my main Fshep since she switched to garrus from kaidan.  so yeah the fireworks made extra sheps mandatory.

One career so far, I just started my ME journey all over again from scratch.
I plan on creating a Shepard for my 3 favorite LIs Ash, Liara, and Miranda.

Strangely enough, I've only got 1 ready for import. My female adept Sarah Shepard. Earth Born, Sole Survivor. Paragon. Romanced Kaidan, then dumped him for Garrus.

I'm replaying my others.

Sidney Shepard. Spacer. Ruthless. Vangaurd. Romanced Liara.
Jane Shepard. Colonist. Ruthless. Vanguard. Romanced Liara.
John Shepard. Earth Born. War Hero. Adept. Romanced Ashely, then Miranda.

I intend to create three more between now and then. One FemShep in case of a Joker Romance. One FemShep just incase there any any actual appealing new Romances in ME3. Once to Nuke Kaidan and Romance Garrus without a prior relationship. I might try one as an Engineer. I realized recently I've never played ME2 as an Engineer before, and ME3 Engineer looks interesting. The others will be Vanguards, because Vanguard rocks.

I have 3 Shepards for ME3, each one covering every background and choice that can be made throughout both ME and ME2:

1. John Shepard (default 'Sheploo' appearance) - Spacer, War Hero, Paragade, Soldier, romanced Tali

2. Diana Shepard (custom appearance) - Colonist, Sole Survivor, Renagon, Infiltrator, romanced Liara in ME/continued in LotSB

3. Ellen Shepard (custom appearance) - Earthborn, Ruthless, Renegade, Vanguard, no romance

I have 8 planned out, but so far have only completed 6. Lucky number 7 just finished Virmire and 8 will be done this summer after ME3 comes out.

Between the 8 of them, I cover every single Origin except Spacer/War Hero, and have a variety of Paragon/Renegade decisions. I've also assured that everyone dies at least twice; Miranda, Ashley, and Wrex hold the record at five deaths.

6. Caitlyn Shepard - Paragon female angel w/ no deaths. Infiltrator
7. Benjamin Shepard - Renegade male pro-human jerk. Engineer
8. Mara Shepard - Neutral female can't make up her mind jerk. Soldier

I'm in no particular hurry. At this point, I only have three who are fully ready:

1. Frank Shepard, soldier, earth-born, sole survivor, deserves serious consideration for Paragon sainthood. Completed all missions and side quests.
2. Sigorney Shepard, infiltrator with a Widow, earth-born, also a sole survivor. Also Paragon.
3. Lilith Shepard, engineer with assualt-gun training, spacer, war hero. Another Paragon.

The two I have in the works in ME1 are:
1. Catherine Shepard, adept, ruthless, the "Butcher of Torfan," colonist, paragon.
2. Trajan Shepard, infiltrator, sole survivor, earth born, haven't decided yet.
