You know, other than World War 2

Um, yeah, WW1 was the precedent for WW2. Prior to that, there hadn't been any wars on that sort of scale. Thus, WW1 being "unprecedented".

I think the audio from this intro of an 80's cartoon should be re-purposed and be added to a vid about ME.

The Rachni wars were the council species + Krogan vs the Rachni. The Krogan Rebellions were the Krogan VS the Council + Turians. The Mourning War was Geth Vs Quarians. The varrious proxy wars in the Attican Traverse have primarily been Humans Vs Batarians. The Eden prime war was Geth Vs Council.

When the Reapers hit, however, no one is going to be uninvolved, including Terminus systems.

The last part is a complete assumption unless there's something in the story leak.

Both the korgan rebellions and the rachni war spanned multiple systems and multiple races, the reaper invasion might span more systems and more species but i don't see how this qualifies it to be called "the galactic war" more than the rachni wars or the krogan rebellions. So if we're going to take this seriously and follow previous mass effect war naming schemes i'd say "The Reaper Invasion" would be the most fitting.

Lol, just imagine Shepard vs. Harbinger and then out of no where Proto-Reapers pop up and posses shepard:

Proto-reapers: It's us, Proto-Reapers. And for your information we were indoctrinating organics WAY before it was cool !
Harbinger: How the hell did you get in here?
Proto-R: It's a long story that involves the name Steve, what about you?
Harby: Well first I was a cuttlefish, then I was a bug, now I'm a delicious Cthulu monster.....
Proto-R:Yeah, reincarnation's a b!tch like that. I must admit I'm not really used to being inside humans, not sure I like it very much.....
Harby: Hey, I've got an idea, lets be room mates!
Proto-R: More like MIND MATES!
*Cue unanimous laugh*
Proto-R: Yeah, but that would never work.
H: Why not?
PR: Because I'm kicking you out. *Harbinger explodes*
PR: Oh YEAH! I'm still the boss....... who just happens to look like a man....

All of my internets. Take them.

Not true at all, A Chinese rebellion back in time of yore, y'know when China had something like 3/4 of the World's Population, involved something like 80% of their entire populace, so what's on the same scale.

Or what about the Napoleonic Wars? That was fairly international as well.
