I bought a new car with no seats and no transmission. Luckily, I am also a Bioware customer, so I'm used to fixing new stuff.

I'm not able to activate the console. When I add

-enabledeveloperconsole

to the end of the target extension, it won't let me save. I have the Ultimate edition and thought it may be some difference there, but there's a guy on the previous page who was able to activate the console. Any

ideas?

Wandrew, make sure you're putting that in the target of the shortcut to DAOrigins.exe. And that you're adding it after the close quote of the target line.
My problem was just with finding the .exe in the first place. It was buried in that bin folder.

I never could get the debug scripts to run for Warden's Keep (gwb) or The Stone Prisoner (shl).

But, I did finally get both quest locations to show up on my map. There was a workaround I used when all my DLC turned unauthorized, setting the RequiresAuthorization=0 in my addins.xml. I think I did that before finding out that it was a problem with the DA servers for the weekend.

Anyway, once I set that back to 1, matching the setting in the individual .xml files for each of the addins, suddenly the locations show up on my map. A few wasted hours, but at least I can finally play the entire game.

Yeah, I just get the following message:

The name '"C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\daorigins.exe"-enabledeveloperconsole' specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.

Sounds great! But I'm not able to find the addins.xml file, even when I run a search the Dragon Age folder.

Windows 7 won't let me add "-enabledeveloperconsole" in the "Target:" field, outside of the quotes. Furthermore, I only have DAOriginsLauncher.exe, not DAorigins.exe. Anyone's help is appreciated. :)

Thanks sami jo. I finally found the DAorigins.exe, but I still get the following error message: The name '"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\daorigins.exe"-enabledeveloperconsole' specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.

I have it working now. Thanks! It's just too bad that some of the equipment is gone for good.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I used the developers console for the warden's keep quest, which had disappeared from my map, and it worked perfectly.

Just one trap for the unwary - don't jump straight from camp as you'll end up at Soldier's Peak without the rest of your party. :o) I gathered the team I wanted for the quest and took them somewhere else before jumping.

cheers

I got that the first time too - you need to put a space before the hyphen. The the code stuff doesn't show up after you hit ~ until you start entering 'runscript' as well.

Thank You Thank you thank you!

Spent hours trying to fix this before I found this, was all set to scrap 14 levels worth of play and try starting again so you saved me from that!
