It was down hill for me after ME1. I played it for immersion, story, and some role play. I already have a modern shooter set in a scifi setting. It is called Halo. New Bioware philosophy is to old Bioware philosophy as SyFy channel is to Sci-Fi channel.

If I do play it I will barrow a friend's copy.
Did not read leak but did watch leaked beta. "Shepard, pick up some ammo."

I'm definitively NOT going to pre-order it like I did with DA2, learnt my lesson there!!! Since DA2, reading some of the negative feedback about the leaked beta and the added multi-player (IMO it will effect the quality of the single player campaign negatively despite what has been said). I have a wait and see approach to ME3. I think I'll wait until it hits the bargain bin. Unless it gets awesome reviews of course but I have my doubts. I hope I'm proved wrong!!!!

I am still counting the days till it comes out, and I've taken that week off at work so that  I can play through two or three times.

So yes, I am excited.

I must admit I don't care about the multi-player aspect of it at all and will not be participating. Reports state that the combat (always the weak point) isn't good enough to pull off enjoyable co-op anyway (mentioned in the latest XBoxWorld magazine - a very reputable UK mag).

Am I right in thinking that the 'complete' ending will not require the multiplayer at all ? Because otherwise I think that's a pretty low thing to do.

Don't worry, Casey and Bioware have said that the MP is optional and you can still achieve a complete ending without it.  I too am a little worried about the co-op but from the beta that I saw the customization looks pretty good.:bandit:

And lets also be honest about New Vegas. That DID kill a lot of gamer's desires to play anything Bethesda again, with the marrid of torrential glitches, bugs, horrendious animations, buggy gameplay and graphics that looked straight out of the PS2 era it did turn a lot of gamers off.

Well since its a Obsidian game and many people have gotten into Bethesda games due to the fallout series I have to disagree unless you can show me a large amount of reviews that shows a general pandering of the series.

To be honest I could say the same thing about ME series. ME1 turned a lot of people off due to its combat but it got many many more into the series.

Either way I'm excited as all hell for ME3 and can't wait to get Skyrim.

Heh, glad to see I'm not the only one telling work I'm going into couch-based hybernation for it. Did it for ME2 as well.

Not at all.

Multiplayer pretty much killed the franchise for me. Why? In an SP game there would have been a way to get the thermal clips to go away. MP makes this impossible.

MP has jack to do with thermal clips remaining.  They were here to stay no matter what.

I heard "Shoot 'em" also. The only thing about the leak that got me excited was seeing Ash.

Yeah, SyFy Channel ain't what it used to be.

Yep, just stupiiid design. A rather dumb hook for stooter fans. Worst yet, they never even bothered with even a clumsy lore consistency.

So think before you post.

The fact that you think Mass Effect 2 is like Halo is very telling. Also, the story, roleplaying, and immersion, depending on who you are, is still there.

You can still mod your game regardless of MP's existence.  And right back at you.

Yeah, and then the server says I'm cheating and kills my account.

I'm not falling for your trap.

8 days ago I asked for a switch. Got no answer. What this means should be obvious.

That's not exactly what they said.

"If you do almost everything,  and if you do really well,  then you'll have more than enough galatic readiness to get the optimal ending"

There's alot of "If's" in there,  ifs they have thus far refused to clarify,  much like they dodged the Multiplayer questions.

Because it's so bad to have limited ammo in a wave based co-op mode where you're facing stronger and stronger enemies.

Oh wait.

Oh yeah. I am über excited. Even more after watching leaked beta and skimming through story leak(s). Thinking about pre-ordering 5 more copies for my friends and family.
Are we there yet? Are we?

Wait, WHAT? Is this true? No modding of ME3? If this is true, I'll be forced to go the hacking pirate route, hoping some of us can form some small modding community around ME3 if the game is even worth it. I mean, wow, this would really suck.
Am I naive in hoping BioWare resolves this issue and we can remain friends?

No, it's currently just pure assumption.

Do you know if the single player will be mostly waves or will we get smarter AI? I'm hoping for the latter. Some waves are okay here and there as fodder but it sure would be awesome to finally see some smart enemies.

An assumtion, Bioware would have corrected if it were wrong and thus potential customers could be kept.

The AI in the beta seemd a bit buggy, so I won't judge it completely, but it seemed pretty solid.

Instead of hoping Bioware would somehow find your post instantaneosly why don't you just PM a dev or go on Twitter and actually ask the question.

You could easily say Casey Hudson is going to rob you of all your possessions but becasue Casey hasn't said anything about it isn't untrue.
