So ready for this game to be released . . . I haven't been this stoked in a while.[/quote]
This is me. I've never anticipated a game more than I do ME3. The only other trilogy I followed from start to finish was Halo, and lol, it's a good game and everything, (my son worships it) but nothing like playing out Shepard's tale. My husband was teasing me earlier, because I talk about the ME characters as though they were real people. I'm obsessed, sure, but I think BioWare make games it's really easy to obsess over.
Right, fellow BSNers?

Indeed. I was into shooters for many years but I've become a fan of action RPGs over past 8 years and the Mass Effect franchise is the best I've played.

Just read some crazy stuff through the leaks. Wow.

Most of this is your opinion and conjecture. You have zero proof that decisions from ME 1 and 2 don't matter. It is very possible that there are differing outcomes for different decisions. I get that you don't agree and thats fine but this is getting pointless.IanPolaris wrote...

*sigh* THis again? Bioware has said that they do matter and nothing I have seen proves otherwise.IanPolaris wrote...
No. If I wanted to play a game where my choices didn't matter, I'd buy a shooter or read a book.

Bioware said that about Dragon Age 2 and we all know how well that worked out. Fact is if both set of leaks are at all accurate, you "big" choices in ME1 and ME2 don't matter worth a damn....and VS is particularly ill treated and swallows stupid pills. I've said as much as I can without getting into specific spoilers.

What about it?
The one I've read shows plenty of different paths depending on past choices.
Oh, right. It's not all about those generic choices like the fate of the Council or rachni or other obvious black and white choices. My bad.

Of course! Didn't you know? It's the third game, they want to continue making such huge decisions and have it impact! /sarcasm.
It's the end of the series. Now is not the time to make big decisions. Small decisions here and there will probably have a profound effect on the whole.

To be honest I'm not excited, not since viewing the first 20 minutes or so of ME3, and realizing the weak spots of Mass Effect's core plot seem to be crumbling. If you thought Shepard surviving atmospheric re-entry with nothing more than a space suit is plausible, then the intro to ME3 should make perfect sense. If not...
*spoilers*

What design doc have you been reading? Can't be one we've read, the one which tells us everything we've done was meaningless and is negated.

Ok hoping this doesn't get locked but with all the negative nancies out there I wanted a positive thread where all of us who still are looking foward to this game to have civilized discussions. Anyone is welcome just keep it civil. As I'm sure everyone knows I am still looking forward to what is going to be IMO GOTY. Anyone else?
