Please help:
I am playing on an Asus 1215n that doesn't have a built in DVD drive. Is there a way to play this game without me having to carry around an external DVD player?
Since there's a Steam version, I hope there's a patch or workaround for it.
BTW, I have the Ultimate version of Dragon Age Origins if that matter.

Have you already installed the game on your netbook via CD? If so, you need to register it.
Once your game is registered, you have the option of uninstalling it and downloading directly from EA using their (aptly named) Origin client. It's like Steam but for EA games. It will recognized your CD key and allow you to get a digital version of the game.
That said, I would be astounded if the game actually runs on a netbook. I know Asus makes some good products and netbook technology has come along in the last year... but even with your system, you're going to be struggling in the 3D rendering department. Just sayin'.

Not sure what you mean by register. I did type in the CD key to install the game and I don't see a register option in the launch screen.

EDIT: Poked around the website and foundwhere I can register this game. Will keep looking for that uninstall and alt client.
EDIT2: Also downloaded the Origin client but don't see where I can download a new Dragon Age client
