Every series, be it Movie, TV or games has a distinct moment where you go "Oh Yeah. This it IT!"
Example. Star Wars 1977. When the Stormtroopers broke through the Tantive and Vader strode in. It was intimidating. It was evil incarnate. It set the stage for a great confrontation. That was my moment in Movies.
I have always said that Mass Effect is "MY" Star Wars of the Video Game age. It really has the scope and vision that not many can compare to. My Mass Effect Moment was plenty. From becoming a Spectre and saving the Council, but the biggest moment for me in the series was having to choose who lived or died on Virmire. Such an emotional decision. It was then that I knew that Mass Effect was MORE than a game. It was an experience. I very personal experience.

Probably when I was running around the Citadel in ME1. It also might have been when I landed on my first uncharted world. I still remember it, it was Xawin. Of-course the amazing climax didn't hurt either. The Sovereign reveal.

Opening scene of ME1 where Shepard did the cool walk and the cheesy determined face as the camera panned around.

2 Events:
2) Talking Wrex down on Virimire.
1)When my Shepard talked her way out of (what I thought was) the final battle with Saren during the Battle of the Citadel. I was all "all those points I put in Charm finally paid off".
Basically I personally have had various events in my lifetime that should I have had to actually do something about but have been able to talk my way out of. Replicating that in a video game... just Amazing

Dunno. I got hooked as soon as I realized I even could romance characters. The plot itself was nice but not too special. Sure, you can have a romance in KOTOR too, but the one I did first in ME got me.

Running into Rana Thanoptis a second time in Okeer's Lab and having Jack tell me "letting her go is gonna bite me on the a** some day". Bioware and its Foreshadowing. I imagine she is gonna be some kinda Super Asari Banshee Husk apologzing the entire time for attempting to murder me and my squad.
