Megaton from F3  for me. It was very cool finding it especially after running there from Springvale after getting chased by Molerats.

Also, what was that village in FFX called? Besaid?

The barrier prison from Gothic 1. More of a setting than a town, but it felt so alive.

Man, there's so many for me to choose from...

Neverwinter is a good one to start with. I can't tell you how much time I've wasted just roaming the place. Then there's Tarant from Arcanum. And I have to say it's a bit of a tie between Downtown L.A. and Chinatown from Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines. Then there is Lut Gholein from Diablo II.

I also enjoyed New Reno from Fallout 2 and The Strip in New Vegas.

I love your GIF. Sonic ftw.

To clarify: in your sig.

I'm so swag everyone always ignores my posts for my sig/avatar.

Not sure should I be proud or annoyed.

Skara Brae in "The Bards Tale".
Neverwinter of course.
Mdina on Malta (I know it's not from a game, but you think you're inside one)

I've thought exactly the same thing when I've walked around there!

You've been there?
Isn't it a fantastic piece of history? And the atmospere is undescribable.
I loved it. Could have stayed there forever.

I have several times when I was in my teens. It was my parents favourite place to holiday until they bought their place in Northern Cyprus. Malta and Gozo are both wonderful.

I envy you. I've been there only once (1999), but I'd love to go there again if there'd be  the time.
And you're right, both islands are wonderful places to spend the holidays.

Even though I only played it for like 5 hours, I loved the starting town in NWN2. It was very lovely.
But if MMOS count, then I would say Cantha City from Guild Wars.

I loved Virmire from ME1, such nice beaches, too bad it was nuked.
I wanted to go skinny dipping...*sigh*

The city of Sigil in Planescape Torment. Where else can you find a colorful assortment of creatures living together?

I'll second Virmire. Such a pretty place.

Tales of Vesperia has plenty of interesting locations from those in the sky, under water, cities made into weapons and one which was destroyed centuries ago, visited as an illusion. It also has a guild city, which is a hub of sorts.

- Two Rivers, Tien's Landing and the Imperial City from Jade Empire
- Armadillo from Red Dead Redemption
- Thunder Bluff from World of Warcraft

Whiterun in Skyrim is really growing on me. Nice location in the middle of the map and good views of the surrounding mountains everywhere. It feels like Lord of the Rings I really thought I was in Rohan when I got there lol.

Also agree with Meucron Armidillo is the best town in RDR I find a pleasure whenever I'm there.

Kuldahar from the Icewind Dale games. I liked its serene, rural appearance. It also featured one of the greatest town themes I ever heard. It always pleasant to revisit it after every dungeon crashing adventure.

That reminds me of the time when Belhifet's army attacks Kuldahar the second(?) time you return to it. You get the usual starting music, everything seems calm and happy... And then the music turns all combat-ish as the first orogs appear and charge towards you and you're going, "WTF?!" Really sneaky way to spring a surprise on the player. XD
