I went through sounds, sounds X1 & X2 in the data folder by searching with "_bat1", "_gard" etc.., and I can absolutely guarantee it's not there.
The .wav files for the patrician soundset have to be *somewhere*, but where? I've spent like three hours looking for them, with no success.
