In my last, bug-riddled playthrough that I completed last year, one problem I kept having was melee powers going through enemies as if they were transparent, without any 'miss' message coming up. This included dual striking, of which melee attacks seemed to become classified as a special attack, but also regular activated powers like deadly strike (it tends to happen most often if the enemy target is in the process of an attacking swing of its own). I idly wondered if instead of being a bug it was an extra effect of being in nightmare mode...
However I just ran into a patch that fixes the 'dual striking bug' where it misses--the patch suggests this is a deliberate nerf on dual striking. Howver as I've already mentioned this 'nerf' seems to be on other powers as well. I find it odd that it targets just dual striking when other attack powers also share the same problem. Is this a recognised bug or am I misinterpreting it as one?
