Hello.

I've recently purchased a new copy of Dragon age 2. I played it for an hour or so and everything seemed fine. But after I started up the game a second time, I got a message saying:

"Your profile data has been corrupted. The corrupted data will be overwritten. Your settings have been restored to the default."

After that message, the game's "Load game" button is grayed out, and I am unable to load my save file.

I've been in contact with EA help. They advised me to delete my game data, as well as my save files, and reinstall the game. This did not resolve the issue. I've tried this on 3 different occasions.

After this did not work, they proposed it might be a corruption in the database, and advised me to create a new Playstation Network account. I created the new account and started with a clean installation of the game. The same problem occurred once again.

Unable to help me any further, the EA help person advised me to post the problem to the forums. So here I am.

I am at a loss as to what is wrong, and how I am supposed to fix the problem is beyond me. I am hoping that someone can help me figure out what to do.

If there is any further information that I need to share, please let me know and I will provide the details.

Thank you.

I have exactly the same issue and emailed EA games and got exactly the same reply (despite telling them I had done everything they went on to tell me to do).
Sad to see it has been 6 months since you posted this, good to know they care...
