I was working on a PW module some may have heard of called Anphillia 2. Back in 2006-2007 a lot of people did a lot of work to get a decent 30 area half finished module put together. It was live but still in beta, and the lack of autodownloader really killed its attempts to get started. I played a little myself and it was pretty good work overall.
I got ahold of that mod (thanks to NWN DM) in 2010 and worked alone on it hard core for a good 6 months to get the project pushed forward. Real life eventually interfered with a vengeance and I've put it in limbo for the past few months.
I figured before I sent it off to the dust bin I should at least offer up to see if any one was interested in taking it over. I'd still put time in as I could, maybe 15 hours a week, but the module needs some one else that can put 100% in to see it through. I believe once it reached a certain point more players would be happy to step forward and contribute, but it's not there yet.
Some basics:
The concept of the module is an island with two player factions, Axfell and Cleaven, who are war. Essentially it's like a miniature MMORPG with a Role Playing theme. The concept was very popular in NWN 1 and at various times had multiple versions with 60+ players running. PvE, PvP, and RP are all major aspects of the module concept and design.
Area wise overall the module has about 30 areas
in various ranges of completion, I'd call it 70% averaged. Here's a map I
made for my own reference during building: http://img.photobuck...h2Outline-1.jpg (Note: new Cleaven farmlands have been built since this map was made.) It's a solid base with a lot of room to mold. I personally built a few new major areas and adjusted some old. Overall I give the area qualities a 7/10.
Game mechanic wise, a good 90% of the tweaking
needed has been finished. I tracked down every glitch I could find using
NWN2 Wiki and other sources and mercilessly destroyed it, took out a
few choice overpowered feats, rearranged a handful of class abilities
for balance, and compensated whenever a clean fix wasn't possible. I
fixed countless spell glitches, made mostly conservative spell changes,
and removed a few flat out broken spells which could not be repaired. I
also instituted a few low level improvements to make low level combat
more interesting and survivable, such as infinite casting of all cantrip
spells and a starting HP bonus based on CON for PCs, and made a few
tweaks to races to increase their value.
The forum I put up has extensive listings of game mechanic changes, so look here if you want details: http://anphilliasdar...mentsserverinfo
I meticulously updated all changes in the .tlk table, so everything is listed in-game.
I removed a few larger .haks to get the mod size down to manageable. I
was not far into purging the leftovers of those .haks, but this is
fairly easy to do as you go.
While most of my stuff is untested I tend to be extremely meticulous and thorough. If you can think of it, I've probably done it.
Overall the module is close to being ready for a second wind at "beta". It would need much more to get to an "established" level. Realistically with my contribution 1 more dedicated person could get the ball rolling, but without some one else really into the idea I'm going to have to shelve it.
Hosting could be managed. I could do it in a lackluster fashion, or one of the old school Anphers suggested he might step up with a better solution.
If no one's up for it, well, I tried. I may try a more manageable project instead.

You should consider posting the better areas as pre-fabs on the vault so that they can be used for other projects. That way, even if the PW doesn't survive, the work that went into it isn't lost to the community.

I second Kaldor's suggestion; a large library of pre-fab areas can be useful for toolset users who are more into other aspects of module development besides area building. Unfortunately I'm pretty busy with my own projects and other activities to attempt picking up something of this scope.

the whole thing should be published, even it's incomplete state, if you chose to drop it.

If you are not going to be putting it out as is, it can be very helpful to the other PW's, module makers and the like who are looking for features, or just tackling problems you've already worked out the answers to. Quite a few of what you have listed are already features of my CSL library, and i'd probably go through your changes for any better ideas or things i never thought of ( and all of those would end up released out to the entire community, some of what you describe as unfixable were things which are actually fixed in what i've done, and likewise you likely fixed some things which i've never been able to address yet ).
Just looking at your epic spells, well that is something i have been intending on working on, except i already have completely working 30 epic spell scripts from NWN1's PRC project. Making those spells work like turn undead powered feats like divine might sounds like what you've done. Posting what you have so far would probably save me a week or two just because i'd be able to copy the work you've done in that area, and allow me to build and add on top of what you've already accomplished. I am intending on granting epic spell slots alone and making the casters research their own epic spells much like some PW's do crafting of items which is a lot more elaborate, but each piece i find someone else has done makes it that much closer to completion.
I've gotten access to the various other PW's codebases, and i've integrated many ideas from Sea of Dragons, Cerea, Alfa, Khaladine which were for the most part active worlds. There have been a few worlds that have shut down, and have been posted to the vault. I keep copies of quite a bit of other peoples work because the less i have to recreate - that just means i can produce more original things since i resume the work where they left off.
However there have been some very amazing PW's which just vanished, never to entertain another soul, and all they are is wasted work, of no benefit to anyone, and their creators who sought to protect their creation are mostly long forgotten.
If you put it on the vault as is, well it might not be resumed right away, but after even extended period it has a chance to be resumed by some other modder. But that is not even the important thing here. The work i've invested in spells, feats, and other scripting systems, well that work has allowed those on the Sea of Dragons PW focus much more on quests, areas, loot systems and other areas i've never had a chance to focus on.
The more that is shared, the richer the community as a whole becomes, even if what is shared is just portions. Please try to get your PW relaunched, but failing that get it on the vault. I am pretty sure posting it on the vault and relaunching it would not be mutually exclusive either.

I'm working right now to just toss is up as-is and see what happens. I'm thinking that might be my best bet to get people interested, and I've been posting on the Anphillia forum to inform Anph players.
Honestly I don't know how useful core systems really are in terms of passing on to others. I don't even remember any more if I finished the epic spell system I was working on. It's such a headache to take material from module A and stick it into module B. Personally I'd rather do it myself so I know how everything works; it's nearly as much work to figure out another person's work as it is to redo it yourself. Keeping track of how everything interacts becomes a nightmare the more you cut and paste.
If all else fails I'll put it on the vault, but that's the last act of abandonment.

Hey man... definately throw it back up on the NWVault.
At the very least it's a resource for the community (including the work you've put into it as well).
