Yeah I want to get that witch hunt patch that fixes the saving issue. But when I start up my Ultimate Edition while my ethernet cable is connected it prompts me to install the original patch 1.01a.
Which is very odd seeing as how the Ultimate Edition comes with patch 1.04
The first time I tried I didn't know what the patch was, and installing it screwed up a lot of things in my game and rendered it very unplesant to play.
And to reverse the process I had to completely remove my game data from my PS3 and reinstall. Which means I lost all of my unlocked rewards from the DLCs and my unlocked specializations and start over totally from scratch.
Is there any way around this? It's kinda annoying me.
Problems updating Ultimate Edition.

Deleting game data shouldn't affect your stuff. IT didn't for me. You don't have to delete your saves. Just load one of them and you should be good.
Did you install all the DLC? I think it is patch 1.01a. DAO is on 1.04, but Witch Hunt is 1.01. Haven't had any trouble with it. Might just need to try again.

Tried again and it worked.
Also it seems that the bonus swag you get by beating DLCs is remembered by a file in the Game Saves. The same one that holds your options settings IIRC. Delete that and you have to regain your bonus items and specializations the old fashioned way.
Now Bioware just needs to crank out a final update to fix all the annoying crap.
Like Jowan's Intention, the broken Boons when Alistair is king, the fact that no items from Warden's Keep can import to Awakening, and the fact that several items from Awakening don't display properly and look like the missing Warden's Keep items.
