To Whomever is willing to help me,
I have owned my copy of Dragon Age 2 for a few months now. I have installed it on my laptop, registered it, activated it, and enjoyed several playthroughs of it.
However, recently my younger sister has taken an interest in playing it after completing a playthrough of DA: O after I installed it on her computer. As I had no problems with getting Origins on her computer I had no saw no issue with giving her the product key, disc, and my EA account information so she could have at it.
Between the two of us, we have not been able to activate this game. I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled it several times over. Her computer easily meets all requirements, and that is not the problem.
The problem is when I get to the EA download manager and log in to my account to activate the game. First, it says that it cannot activate the game with my account (even though my account was perfectly acceptable when activating the game on my laptop). I am then prompted to re-enter the product key. I do so. I am then told that that prodcut key has already been used and that I would have to buy another copy of the game to activate it on this computer.
As that is complete and utter bull****, I'm hoping I have done something wrong, and that Bioware has not in fact restricted activation of DA2 to only one computer. Especially considering Dragon Age: Origins had no such restrictions.
