I have been wondering if the Isabela/Sebastian friendship bug has been fixed yet. I have been wanting to use them in my party (mostly for variety), but every now and then I see Isabela's friendship bonus on Hawke's ability screen and I get paranoid that my attack speed will go to hell if I use her.
Oddly enough, I have not had issues with Sebastian like that, but I am still afraid of using him since I definitely don't want my damage resistance to go to hell.

Yep, it's all fixed post-patch. Even fixed retrospectively (although by then all my bugged playthroughs were already deleted to make room for others..)

So even if I see Isabela's friendship bonus on Hawke without her in the party, it would be safe to use her without Hawke and Isabela losing attack speed?
I just found it weird and, I just ended up switching between Sebastian, Isabela and Varric whenever the friendship bonuses appeared without the actual party member being in the current party. Now it seems that is really only happens with Isabela, I have yet to see it occur with Sebastian even thought I have gone friendship with him ever since 1.03 (I play on PC).
