I read in the game that choosing the right side answers in dialogue is safe and I won't lose anything ?

In the left side there is the investigate dialogue, does going there change the game path ? and on the right side there are 3 choices , nice answer, bad answer, and one dull answer, how can I be safe on the right side when I have 3 options that can change things ? if being nice brings up different story and being bad brings up another story , how is choosing something in the middle will be safe ? not being nice means losing the nice story end , not being bad is losing the bad story path.

Can someone please explain to me the wise thing to do and what I might lose ? Image IPB

lol, just play the character as you would like him to be, either nice, bad, or neutral. Right side advances the conversation, the left side explores the current level of the conversation.

now I see that left side add to experience and choosing bad answers makes me bad, I don't really like to make choices with unclear future, anyway thanks !

I agree with just play, but here is how it is....
............................................ / typically paragon
investigate (expounding on topics) - O - typically neutral
............................................. \\ typically renegade

You may have more than one option on the left, but typically they are all related to getting more info about something (although not always). The responses on the right advance the conversation, and differ by their tone and or their consequences.

hope the above actually looks sort of like the wheel when you view it.

Honestly its not to hard a concept.

Left Options Usually Expands Current Conversation in Detail.

ex: What is a collector?

Right Options Continues Conversation And Gives You 3 Options To Be Good, Neutral, and Bad.

ex: No one has to die here

Thanks all

true playing the game, I got most of the idea how it works but I don't play games a lot and not very used to such cases, in sc2 you choose clearly between 1 or 2 and you can go back to menu and play the fight you missed.

as I see it now I have problem with acccepting this concept more than playing it, to me I don't know if being bad equals failure or not, I wished to say to many people in the game "Shut the **** **" but I was afraid to loose something.

Thanks capn233 for the drawing :)

You can skip the dialogue with the spacebar on pc. Also, this game is nothing like SC2, so why would its dialogue or plot choices be?

Hi Adugan, I wasn't trying to say that sc2 is better (except for the log thing) not playing games for years now and seeing ME1 from 2008 with such details and mostly good dialogue, I can say I liked the game so far, it's just me I don't like to miss anything, before playing GTA IV I went on a hunt to collect all hidden items, by the time I finished I was almost bored or not that interested in the game itself, I mean it was wrong by me to do so but couldn’t help it.

While I was playing ME1, something nice happened, I tried to help the guy who was trying to hack the slot machines, once I saw the casino owner I saw the option to stab him in the back (the hacker) after I already promised to help him, at this point I really felt the beauty of this game, to be fully satisfied I think I might need to play the game and try every choice but I guess that would mean playing 10,000,000 times.
Also like in movies, like not seeing the alternative ending, I can’t say that I watched a movie without the alternative end.
I was trying to ask before playing so not miss important things because I don’t play a game more than once. That’s all.
Thanks

This is not a game your choices can make you lose. Your choices can effect what content is available in the next games as well as the "flavor" or " feel". There is a really good argument for playing at least twice once paragon and once renegade.
