Will ME3 support more 'unique' Sheppards? (Custom Hair, Eyes, or Faces)

For those in a beta, I could provide a savegame. For reference, the character in question is this.

Which is to say that if you've seen one, you've seen them all.

That said, I hope the customization options are expanded. And I hope we can fiddle with imported faces.

I heard they were going to add more robust options to the character creator. I don't remember the source, it was one of the statements make not long after E3 I think.
That'd be great. It was all the 'hidden' character options in ME1 and ME2 that gave rise to face mods to begin with. One major example being http://www.masseffect2faces.com/.
I understand that BioWare wants your Sheppard to fall into the realms of the believable, but sometimes you want to add a 'unique' flair to your Shep (I'm sure you all know what I mean).

Just as long as they don't run like they did in Saint's Row 2 (best described as a gorilla that's halfway through taking a dump). Yes, that's the one reason I could never play SR2, and went back to GTA.

Especially with ears, noses and complexion. Seriously, I've never really been happy with any of my custom-shep ears and noses, and the complexion options have been pretty stark in variety.

For most people this probably means larger breasts.

As long as the lines for the specific items (like NPC hair or Illusive Man eyes) remain the same (and they still exist) then there shouldn't be a problem and it will just carry over. Though I imagine if anyone is using an Ashley or Kaidan face mod then they'll encounter a few problems since those textures were obviously upgraded and I doubt they kept the grey tones that allow us to use any other skintone.outlaworacle wrote...
I doubt it. You can't really expect them to build support for cosmetic (or any, really) mods for ME2 into ME3. Even if they did, resources dictate that they couldn't support all of them and odds dictate that the mods you have would remain unsupported, just because.
That said, I hope the customization options are expanded. And I hope we can fiddle with imported faces.

I'm pretty sure we'll be able to. We were able to 'fiddle' with imported faces on a ME1-2 Import, why not on a ME2-3 import?

Maybe your copy is different than mine, but when I import my Shep into ME2, I'm either stuck with it or can start from scratch. Or am I having a tiny stroke right now? I swear that's the way it is. There's always face code shenanigans too, but I mean I'd like to be able to keep everything about my import but maybe change the hair or eye-spacing or whatever, without changing everything else.
Perhaps it gave me the the option because I had a custom face, and it didn't recognize part of it. I could also be miss-remembering something too. I'll try again later.

Come to think of it, it would be best to be able to do some overall corrections. At least one of my Shpeards looked kind of weird in ME2 compared to the first game...

I couldn't change imported Shepards' appearences in ME2. I hope we will be able to in ME3, at least in terms of hair, beard etc.

When I loaded up my ME1 save, I was given 3 options:
- Accept Imported Face
- Default Appearance
- Custom Appearance
Hardly a choice though, would anyone pick Udina for any reason other than to just see what would happen?

I totally agree with tis, especially hair styles. The ones for maleshep were like: bald, bald who forgot to shave head, military cut, emo, puffy 80s hair, and something else.

At least it's somewhat fixable in ME2 using the save editor. It'd be nice if they'd offer one like they did for Dragon Age though.
