I think it's all in the prologue of Revelation. Don't remember exactly what, though.

I think it's pretty clear that society in the Mass Effect universe is primarily secular, but you get hints that religion still has a significant impact in both human and alien cultures. I also noticed that the game's writers use religious or mythological references a lot, especially when it comes to naming things - Eden Prime, Cerberus, The Lazarus Project, Legion. And those are just the ones that are obvious to me right now; I'm sure if I played through again or did an in-depth comparison of the Mass Effect Wiki to my mental database of world mythology and theology I'd be able to come up with a lot more. Random example: Ashley's birth-world Amaterasu is named for the Japanese sun goddess, but that's not really unusual since planets tend to be named after deities. Although most planets in the Mass Effect universe actually aren't named after deities, even the ones that have human names. I need to put more thought into this.

When Luke finds Threepio hiding after R2-D2 takes off into the desert looking for Obi-Wan.  He says the same thing.

Religion isn't intended to be an important part of the ME series that I have seen and would make less sense in regards to current/past/future human religions.

The simple fact is that it is unimportant in the game and is only used for aliens when appropriate for a given NPC.

Besides, if they included one faith, they would have to include all faiths, I just don't see BioWare taking that route, especially given that discussions of real-world religions is pretty much off-topic for the BioWare Social Network.
