I think this will change. It's already been strongly hinted in Mass Effect 2 that Shiala and Parasini will be future romance prospects. Also there's Kelly, even though she's not official. But since so many of the lovers from ME 2 (Miranda, Jacob, Thane, and Jack) are not actually on your squad, there's not going to be the requirement that they travel with you to be your LI. I hope this means opportunities for romance will span the galaxy. Hopefully Wrex and Aleena get together some day.

Just in case I can't keep Ash for whatever reason I can't think of right now, I'd like to go for Parasini. Dunno why, but she fits best. Too bad I had to kill Vasir - she'd be another option.

That's the issue: the VS does not play any role in the novels. And that s*cks, tbh.
Why not making an Ashley AND a Kaidan-Edition for those comics? Shouldn't be that difficult and they can sell the same stuff twice.

Well lots of characters werent mentioned in the comics and I dont think really any were mentioned in the novels.

That's just Quole being an idiot; the novels are actually quite good, especially Ascension and Retribution. The first one, Revelation, is decent as well, but starts kind of slow due to it also being an alternative entry point into the series.

Sure, it's no high literature, but it's about as good as gaming novels get.

I would like to clarify two things I've said which may have led to confusion.

1. About squadmates hooking up with each other - this doesn't happen to all unmolested squaddies. Just 2 pairs, if the leaks are accurate. And the pairings are heterosexual. Also, the dialogue is quite open to intepretation, but does kind of depict romantic interaction, IMHO. Bear in mind however that denial and jealously are powerful emotions. If ME3 had a 10 minute FMV showing Garrus and Tali having sex, the Talimancers will say that Shepard is wearing a Garrus costume. Kids say the darndest things. Nonetheless, all will be revealed come March.

2. Kahlee Sanders being killable - For her to die, someone else has to die too. Someone far more likeable than Drew. I mean Kahlee.

Well, since you asked and already changed the thread title...

The dialogue in the leaks seem to suggest a Dextro and Ashley/Vega pairing. Nothing on Jacob/Miranda as far as I know. But Jacob appears to have knocked up a female. Who is NOT Miranda.

As for EDI/Joker, they don't count to me because neither of them are potential LIs for Shepard, and one of them isn't a squaddie. Their dialogue is also kind of ambiguous. Anyhow, if you want to stretch the criteria, then Ken/Gabby would count too...

There. Lots of spoilers based on the leaks, which BW has repeatedly said are draft ideas.
