I'm not killing off Garrus and Tali for my canon playthroughs. Hell, one of my 2 canon Shepards is in romance with Garrus. but YOU were the reason I had to ask some of the few reasonable dextro fans to remind me that you idiots don't matter and just becasue the fanbase is full of douches doesn't mean I should blame characters.

I will enjoy them DESPITE you and despite the fact that it seems bioware may have listened too much to your hateful desires about stories for other characters.

read bioware forums for a while.  not just the last 3 pages of one thread.

then if you didn't have enough - head over to Deviant art and check out anything concerning Garrus romances.  I guarantee you that 90% of the time, the comment section will be full of hate, even if the artwork itself is is not hateful.  don't even get me started on all the artworks that ARE.

I'm actualy a fan of Garrus.  Tali not so much, i like her, but I like others more.

I now stay away from Garrus support thread.  and it seems that I'm going to have to stay away from Garrus fanart as well.  because I'm tired of having to tollerate the hate.

To be honest I don't hang out at any of the char' support threads other than Ash. And I've been reading this one and the only unreasoning hatred has been from ticktank thus far.

I'm actually a Tali fan myself (not romanced), and Garrus is in my top 5 squaddie list

Tali is on my KOS list and has been ever since I came onto BSN. Her attitude was absolutely annoying since the get go, but her fans made her unbearable. Garrus might be joining her soon, if I bother to play MEs again. Kaidan/Miranda/Shepard, that would be the only trio I'd absolutely need.

Some survived the flame war by hiding in groups buried deep in the social network...they returned to find the BSN exactly as they had left it...

...because BSN, BSN never changes.


To answer the OP's question yes I am indeed happy with ME3.

The main plot i have no issue with, we knew from a long time what we were getting, its how characters act within that main plot and the justifications for why they're doing things allied to every character you expect to do x does x, at no time does a character you don't expect do x if you get me.

As for the VS, why they do or act like they do is clearly spelt out in the leak, the problem with it is that its ooc and makes no sense whatsoever, instead its there to provide a plot point which again could have been much better implemented by using a different character, simply because using the VS provides absolutely no tension whatsoever.

I'm just saying I could rewrite ME1 (did already, there's a thread for that in the main forum), ME2 (still in progress) and ME3 (as soon as it's released) for a "reboot" with less plot holes and logical issues. I mean, I love ME1, I like ME2 and I'm going to like ME3 as well. It's just that story got replaced my action. The missions in ME2 are great, awesome and such, but most of them simply doesn't feel like part of the lore. They feel too generic, even some of the loyalty missions. The best three ME2-LM are, and that's just my opinion, Miranda's, Mordin's and Tali's. They added something to the characters and/or the story. Others like Jack's LM or the one of Jacob felt so incredible plain and not useful for the story ... they didn't even help to justify some of the characters.

Um, can I ask what exactly is going on on the Garrus/Tali front? (Since I don't frequent the support threads.)
I like all the characters in ME1+2 (except for the VS, but I don't hate them either) and I just can't see how the other fans' reactions to any character I like is a good enough reason to influence my opinion on these characters.
Or did I misunderstand what's happening? I'd love to know what actually *is* happening, what the problem is and so on, if anyone is feeling like clarifying.

No there are quite a few of us out their Exia, it's just the loud mouths who feel the need to troll other character threads, either for the lulz or some sort of deluded payback for trolls in those threads doing the same.  They don't call them 'fandumb' wars for nothing.

People are getting too overwrought methinks, over analysis of the leaked script (which I should add I haven't read and have no intention of reading) - can't see the wood for the trees kind of thing I'm seeing from a lot of people on BSN.  Especially as nothing as yet has been substantiated in those spoilers (Bioware going into denial perhaps?) but hey, it's their game, people are entitled to hate it or love it or play it or not.  There will obviously be aspects of the game I might not enjoy as much as others, but overall I'm unlikely to yell at the internet about it.

Excuse me - I'll leave some of you to your rage, I have some more dragons to kill

No reason to hate any character in my opinion but honestly I think most of us would let any of the characters die if it was the only way to save our favorites or our LI.

Big reason why I dont care about tali or garrus. First time I played ME, I only used garrus on his side mission with the Dr. Tali never saw the outside of the ship. I used Wrex, Kai, and Liara. They were my true first time ME1 team.

In 2, I only used garrus/tali when it forced me to. Ive never had any interest in any of these 2 characters. The only ME2 squaddies I used alot were Samara, Miranda, and Kasumi. Thus I really only care about thier role in ME3. The only reason I did all the loyal missions was to get the achivo.

Used mordin once in a blue moon cause he was funny.
