Hmm, dunno. I won't be surprised if one of both "new squadmate" is the female squadmate I was talking of and the other one being a bonus character.
One is right.

I wouldn't consider EDI as "new squadmate" especially since it's known she won't be restricted to the Normandy in ME3. Isn't it? If no, sorry for the Spoiler ... I heard it numerous times, even outside BSN.

It's the Prothean (who is currently unnamed as Shepard never refers to him by his name) and EDI, who stole a robot Cerberus built and is using it to communicate better with the crew and assist Shepard in battle. Complete with hair, lips and everything. I think TIM modeled it after his old dead girlfriend, which totally isn't creepy at all.

Pretty much.
It's named Eva (just like that dead chick) and has all the female parts.
Edit: There are even some moments when people on the ship and squadmates are commenting on her body.
Can the bot end up like in Terminator, showing the mechanical parts or does it have a self-repair protocol? Would be cool to see ME-Terminator:D.Someone With Mass wrote...

My guess: One of them is Joker.
Must say it's a bit creepy to create an android looking like a beloved person. No, wait - it's not just a bit creepy. Hope EDI stays EDI and doesn't turn into EVA.

I'll post it here, so everyone can see. WARNING SPOILERS
A friend told me this:
"Jacob gets a girl pregnant and leaves FemShep. Worse, he blames her for it. "Your only love is the Normandy".
Her full name is Brynn Cole. She was a Cerberus scientist who abandoned the organization after The Illusive Man started using torture and murder to control his people. Jacob spent eight months with her after ME2, working on what his ME3 mission seems to focus. and that's when he cheated on FemShep.
It is also implied that he sends FemShep an email then dies offscreen."
For some choices, being Renegade was simply irrational and should cause your situation to suck.naledgeborn wrote... It's like the developers have been leading this group of people on for 2 games only say "gotcha bytch! it was all a trick, if you're a bad guy your game now sucks".
Well it wouldn't really make sense to meet up with them again and have everything be cool now would it? They can't forget the bitterness of Horizon, it must be resolved through confrontation and Ashley's not the type to admit she was wrong. Don't know about Kaidan but the point is, there's going to be conflict and conflict is what drives the story and keeps me interested so I'm looking forward to it.ZombieGeisha wrote...

Not keen with what has been said for the VS. Horizon was a big negative issue with them and now sounds like there's a Horizon and Virmire part 2.
Wait...
Another Horizon? [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wondering.png[/smilie]
Just a situation that would probably make people hate them even more.
@CptData, I'm fearing for both.
I just feel that the VS has had it's share of hostility, why can't other characters have faults or misjudgement? [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/unsure.png[/smilie]

The second thing is that by the looks of things they have taken no notice of what a lot of fans wanted in terms of characterisation and how events would play out, now some may say its their product they can do what they like and this is true, but at times its almost as if they've not just ignored what people have asked for but gone in the completely opposite direction deliberately.

No, appalling favouritism given to certain characters and complete sidelining of most others.

I would say that the problem is the complete opposite. The development team has catered way too much to what the fans wanted and expected. The entire game is wishfulfillment for the largest fan bases. Everyone else gets to eat crap and the game as a whole suffers for it.
A lot of the consequences in ME3 are contrived.
The character cameos are... okay. As others have said they are a mixed bag. I do feel bad for some fans who had their favorite characters treated fairly poorly (mainly Jacob). However I don't think anyone should have expected all of them to be on the crew again. That simply isn't realistic.

Forgot about Team Dextro, did we?CptData wrote...
And if you watch closely, the story spins around them. It's not just Shepard's story, but more Shepard-Liara-VS-story. These three characters are the main cast.
Same as my above comment. It's most plausible only a few of the ME2 cast will have a bigger role in ME3. My guess is on Miranda, maybe Jacob, Mordin's role is partly known since official preview version and leaked beta.

Indeed. I must say, almost all of the ME2 cast is expendable ... don't kill me for saying it!
It's just that: only the VS (pick one) and Liara are destined to make it to ME3.

Or it was just easier by a game making and story point of view for the ME2 cast to be sidelined.Yannkee wrote...

Bull****s
Garus and Tali were in the team in ME1 and ME2 and they are shoved in my face AGAIN in ME3 while my favorite ones are sidelined !
This is just blatant favoritism.
So no I'm not happy.
