Hello and nice to meet you.

You are my last hope to solved my problem. As the title say i have a big problem with my graphic on mass effect 2.
in the cutscene i got black triangle on the characters and in a zoom to the characters i see only a full black armor texture. That means they didn't load the textures correctly <_<.

it begins at the first cutscene miranda with cerberus: "He is the hero, the only one where can....we know that the geth are not the real threat" just look this video at 0:40 seconds
i contact the nvidia support and the ea support. But still the same issue <_<

here my system:

AMD Phenom II X4 945 3,0GHz (not overclocked)
4GB ram DDR2-800Mhz (dual-channel)
Gigabyte GTX285 1GB (not overclocked)
500GB harddrive

current i use the new beta graphic patch from nvidia 285.79 from the description it must solved this problem! But it doesn't.:pinched:
I downgraded the graphic patch two version lower. But nothing!:crying:
i dont know now what i can do to solve this issue.:crying:
if you need more information about my system or anything just let me know and i will post it here.
Thank you for the moment and i hope you can help me. BTW: sorry for my english

nVIDIA has too many irons in the fire these days, and ther hasn't been one of their drivers working correctly in either Mass Effect game since 258-something.

Deaken - I have the same driver version as you, it  fixes black triangles in BF3 and I dont have any  issues with ME1 and ME2 (note: unreal engine 3 and unreal engine 3.5 are artifact friendly engines).Download real temp for cpu and gpu-z to check ur temperatures. You may also like to do clean install of your nvidia drivers and configure them later.
Deinstall ur drivers manually through control panel, use driver sweeper application http://www.softpedia...r-Sweeper.shtml  in order to wipe out NVIDIA( junk left after deinstallation. Then reboot your computer and let the system install WDDM drivers on it's own. Reboot again, and install your actual drivers. Also update your directx http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=8109

When you do all this things, configure your nvidia drivers, go to 3d management settings in nvidia control panel and set these:
Threaded optimisation: Enabled
Power management: Prefer Maximum Performance, if it wont help leave it on Adaptive
Multi-Gpu acceleration mode: Single screen performance mode (if u have only 1 monitor)

Lowering driver version may also help you, but first lets try some other possible fixes. Maybe one of fixes actually works for you.

Thanks PnXMarcin1PL i cleaned all my drivers from nvidia. Install them new and follow your steps, deinstall Mass Effect 2 with all the DLC's and now it is working. I install it overall 10 times new, maybe there was a mistake with the drivers. I dont know for sure.

The temperatures from the video card was constant (german 61°C/F) so everything is fine now. :)
thanks again for your help.

No problem :) I'm glad I could help. Enjoy the game! :) Remember, those steps usually help with nay kind of artifacts, caused by overclocking or not. 61 celsiuss is ok. My gtx460 from gigabyte reaches 74 celsiuss degree in bf3 on ultra :P
