Is it just me or are the krogans always seen to be very violent yet every krogan that shepard meets is like a paragon krogan. E.g Wrex wants to unite the clans, not run in shooting holes in people. Grunt too wouldn't exactly be called renegade, he even has a sense of honour against the gatatog clan on tuchanka.
So why are they always seen to be so dangerous and evil?
Krogans; Are they really renegade?

They're seen as dangerous and violent, which they are. I doubt the other races consider them as evil (let alone paragon or renegade, which aren't in-game words but a gameplay feature like experience points or shepard's level). Otherwise they wouldn't have a monument on the citadel.

Not evil, primal and aggressive.

well to be honest they are violent dangerous people, in all honesty no one really wants to ****** off a Krogan. At least if they don't want to keep there arms and legs. But that doesn't mean that they are always that way and that they don't have brains. And that they can't be reasoned with.
Its just that they have Temper issues. They may not be "All" that way but enough of them are that they get that label.

I highly doubt the Krogan would have the same psychological state they have now had they not been "uplifted" to combat the rachni and subsequently cast out by the galactic community.
That being said if Wrex lived on Virmire hopefully he can influence many changes in Krogan society.
PS, why did the appearance of Tuchanka not change between the canon version and Wrex's?
I can understand why his brother didn't but you'd think someone looking promote such radical change would start with his base of operations.

It does change if Wrex survives but you won't see the full change until ME 3
