Just bought the game yesterday and I'm kinda stuck.

I haven't been able to get the hermit to hand over the acorn.  Have I missed something vital?
I even got frustrated and attacked him. That didn't work, thankfully.  I would have been riddled with guilt.

Well, killing him is one way to get it (search the tree stump and he'll attack you)



You can also trade him for it. I think he'll accept some of the artifacts you get as quest rewards in the elf encampment.

Wow, thanks for the quick response! I guess I haven't gotten any artifact rewards yet.

Something to look into.
