I don't know if anyone has posted about this are not.  I don't know how to search/find previously posted/commented topics, so bear with me.

I stumbled on a solution to the glitch with the caprice/ level up issue in mark of assasin.

What I do is, when I get inside  prospers house, after taliis kills the gaurd, but before I run down the hall and start skulking through the place, I save my game.

at that point, the level up arrow is flashing, but the game won't let me access the attribute section to use it.

then, once that save is done, I just load that same save and poof, I have access to my attribute!

I know its just one point, but its better to me, than waiting till the end of that section to get it!

so thats it, before sneaking up on the first gaurd, save game...load same save, and access granted!

I don't know if this works when you storm the mansion, I've only used it when being sneaky!
