SPOILERS: If you haven't played through the game yet, stop reading and quit out of this thread.

1. I assume the forcing Zathrian to end the curse is the best long-term solution for the elves. Agree?

2. Does it make a difference if Alistair is hardened or not? I'm under the impression that he gives land to the Dalish even if the Warden is not Dalish him/herself. However, does a hardened Alistair do this?

3. If Anora rules by herself, does she automatically give land to the Dalish? Does it make a difference if she is married to the human male noble Warden?

4. Is it better to save the Circle, or help the templars annul it? If they do, then the next generation for the Circle will be more oppressive for the Circle mages, but they may spend a lot of resources and manpower policing it and putting everything back in order, which might make hunting down Dalish mages a lower priority (for a while). That could backfire though, creating a much more fanatical institution for the future. I'm guessing that siding with the mages is the wiser thing to do.M

5. Bhelen or Harrowmont? Harrowmont may push the Dwarves to their breaking point where they would have a revolution and completely abolish the caste system, while Bhelen would only make slight modifications to it, thereby allowing the caste system to go on for longer. Would this impact the elves? A weaker Orzammar would mean more Darkspawn attacking the surface, which might shake up the human-elf caste system on the surface.

6. Sacrifice Isolde, or get the lyrium from the Circle tower? I'm thinking that Eamon would be much happier with you if you saved both his wife and son, which would make him be more willing to go along with your pro-elf agends later on.

Numbers 2 and 3 are the most important, since a city elf Warden could improve life for city elves AND have the Dalish get land.

1. The Dalish epilogue slide is bugged and triggers inappropriately under a certain, very common condition, so yes, forcing Zathrian to end the curse always gives you the boon ending, Dalish or not.

2. Alistair's hardened status has nothing to do with the above. Alistair being hardened does make some key things different at the end, for both genders.

3. Anora being queen has nothing to do with the slideshow being bugged. So yes, Anora gives that as well.

4. Yes, siding with the mages gives better epilogue slides, though mages are kind of hosed anyway.

5. Bhelen. Though what ends up happening in their ending is far different than what you predict. But Bhelen, hands down.

6. Irrelevant in the ending slides. Post-coronation discussion with Eamon is bugged as well.

Thanks ejoslin. So, if Zathrian is forced to end the curse, the Dalish get land. I've always done it that way, so that's probably the Dalish always got their land. We can role play a little bit and say that the touching end to Zathrian's story created sympathy among humans for the plight and the struggles of the Dalish.

Doesn't Anora beat down food riots in the alienage if she's on the throne by herself? Does it make a difference if she's married to the human male noble Warden?

Anora still comes down hard on the city elves if she marries the Warden. The only way to improve the lot of the city elves in Denerim is to have Alistair on the throne, either alone or married to Anora.

Yeah.  I got the impression that she was a little bit of a tyrant.  If Loghain is Miller beer, then she's Miller Lite ... Loghain Lite ...  Diet Loghain.  Mini Me, maybe.  Image IPB  I could arrange a political marriage between Alistair and Anora just so that I'm not back-stabbing her, and then have Alistair execute Loghain.  So, it'll be her unwillingness to be reasonable and accept the fact that daddy deserved to die that will be her undoing.  Or, I could harden Alistair and have the two marry (with me executing devil daddy).Image IPB

Yup. Or you could harden Alistair and get him to agree to marry Anora, so when you choose to let Loghain live, Alistair will not storm off and become a wandering drunk. He will still leave the Grey Wardens and your party, but he will still become King at the end.
