Interesting thoughts. Not quite sure how plausible it really could be but it's something to ponder.

Why oh why am I starting to see more references to ME3 being five months away than four? It's definitely a tad under four, not five. I'm not trying to sound OCD, but this is seriously happening more often than not wherever I turn around here lately.

Is there some elusive thirteenth month I'm not privy to? Don't tell me... Ophiocember?

I was slightly suspicious that this leak could be a carefully studied movement to make a "market survey", after these statements I'm a bit more convinced of it.......

I could believe that if it was only the gameplay aspects of the demo that were leaked, trying to hype up the game. But the story files, and the entire script? I very much doubt that was intentional.

If that leak was intentional marketing, then someone needs to either fire or promote their PR guys because that'd be a very risky move.

We are not an audience at all, this isn't a movie.

I'm guessing you have no idea what audience means?

What does that mean?

As long as we don't get another SM game where everyone ultimately makes it out alive if we make sensible decisions... I expect catch-22's and difficult situations where people I care about die (with storyboards that do them epic justice) if this is going to be an apocalyptic war story.

And that scene on xxxxxx.. with the REBAR and the trail... for the love of god, *please* keep that in - I don't mind if the outcome of it is different depending on how good my Shepard is, but it would be an absolute shame to miss out on that scene if I didn't play poorly enough.

Because people are doing this:

"November. December. January. February. March.  See: there's five."

Apparently, calendars are confusing.

They say it´s still in development, they say some played through the finished campaign.

BS anyone?

Technically, we're three and a half months away from release.

I subscribe to that. I thought "Now *that* is an enemy at whose ultimate death my Shepard will utter a sigh of relief".

Not BS. Many narrative elements are still missing. You see it the files. You may be able to play through the game and see every main plot event and make every major decision, but everything that's not critical to finishing the game may yet be unfinished, from extra choices, investigate options, alternative solutions. etc.. Also there's at least one scene missing on the critical path - which may have a placeholder to enable people to play through the campaign.

Which is why I take this comment about feedback seriously. I'm pretty sure they didn't intend the leak to happen, but now that it's happened, why not make the best of it and see what people think.

Ah, and here's an extra bit of feedback. The main plot is absolutely f*cking great!!! I can't wait to see it on screen.

Listen, I don´t mean the leaked built. Some folks at Bioware claimed they have played through the finished single-player campaign. And now they are claiming that it is still in development.

I think that's what Didy is trying to say.

If they are going to change the story in such a small period of time the game should be delay

They have nothing to gain by doing this. It's too late. All their advertisments since before summer : Mass effect 3, 6 march.

Contrary to what some think, if bioware decided to delay the game, it would not be at all a reassuring message. ( we are taking feedback very seriously, so we'll change a bit the story...  ) What does that mean for those who aren't on the bsn ?

" Did Bioware do some mistakes ? What the **** are they doing ? That sucks, I don't want to wait more  "

Suspicion, doubt, uncertainty, this will be the only result. There will be no people who will say for themselves, " cool, thank you Bioware for delaying the game, this means that they are taking us very seriously."

It is first a very bad advertisement for the game. To push it a second time would mean that the game has problems and they are not sure of what they do and what they want to tell.

And people outside would not understand why they would delay and change the story, it would mean they have no idea of the story they want  while they have always claimed they knew where they are going to since Mass Effect 1.

Even if it is delayed, nothing says the same people unhappy would be happy after.

They could always complaining that nothing has really changed. And others may criticize a delay for something that was not worth the trouble.

That's not a contradiction. Testing/debugging/polishing/tweaking takes months. But I agree that the story is unlikely to change very much at this stage (if that's what you're getting at).

If Bioware falls in love with telling their story, we get DA2, and we're just along for the ride making cosmetic decisions while Bioware's story plays out... instead of a CRPG, we get an "interactive cinematic experience".

If they're doing like 90 % of that script, I'm happy.

No, I just suck at math. And 3 and half months? Woah. That snuck up on me.

To be honest DA2 mostly started to go down hill at ACT 3. The plot with the Qunari was much more interesting then the Mage Templar conflict.

Actually that what happens when a game is rushed.

If they're taking feedback I'm hoping they'll not force no win situations on us, where you have to choose who dies like with Virmire, as is just reeks of forced melodrama and appeals to people who get off on things being edgy and different just to feel they're special little free thinkers.

I also want the option of a flat out happy ending, not "Here's a bunch of options with various different massive drawbacks, pick the ending you hate least".

Not that I mind endings like that, when it's a based on your actions, but I'd rather just feel good after my 90 hours of playing for a nice bit of escapism thank you very much.
